Family getaway.

Cob webs everywhere and dust around the skirting boards and the bathroom felt dirty and not properly cleaned. We also found a lot of hairs in our dinners inside the pub which was abit disturbing. A real shame as like I said the place was really friendly but could do with a make over and abit more hygiene put in place

Unable to check in on arrival. Pub was shut. No Wi-Fi or phone signal to contact owner. Left a message. Was notified by a passing lady that village fete was on and pub owner could be there. An email from owner in advance would have been appreciated and a courtesy. Waited outside for over an hour

We were warmly welcomed into a really lovely room with everything that we needed. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was delicious and plentiful, and kids needs were looked after. We were given friendly and and helpful advice when we asked about where to go fossil hunting. A lovely village too. We even bumped into a lady who was on her way to unlock the church and gave us a tour of the 1000 and 800 year old carvings!

Lovely situation. Pretty village. Historic inn opposite the church.
Staff absolutely first class: kind, friendly, helpful.

We stayed in an apartment in the courtyard, which was very comfortable and we all had a great night's sleep in very comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious.
