The room was not in sleeping and resting conditions. I checked in on June 3rd and checked right out. I explained to the receptionist that there was a lizard in the room and the bed sheets were soiled, there seemed to be mice poop in the pillows. I showed it to the receptionist and she said, it was roof dust but the whole room looked disgusting and dirty. There were open cracks in the room floor where more insects or rodents could get in the room. The AC wasn’t working properly either and not acceptable for Bacalar’s hot humid weather. I open a refund claim with Expedia but my claim was denied. I never spent a night in that place and checked right out same day. Do not reserve this place, it will ruin your vacation.

As soon as we walked in we notice AC was not working and at a 95 degree weather plus humidity, it was very uncomfortable being inside the room. Also the bed had bed bugs and sheets were dirty. In addition there were spiders and a lizard in the room. We were there for approx. 2hrs and decided to stay at another hotel. All of this was reported to the person in charged and to Expedia. Horrible experienced!

Good place to stay

Place is good and beautiful. Have in mind that these are cabins, some spaces are limited. Living space is good but the bathroom area is kinda small. View from the cabin area is awesome. Staff is super friendly.
