Golden needle in a haystsck.
Posted Jun. 6, 2018 on HotelsThis hotel is more similar to a bed and breakfast. It is a wonderful place if you enjoy nature, mountain scenery, lakes and rural farm life. It is located at the end of a village lane. It appears to be a farm with a small private lake and beautiful fields of hay and grain, not to mention cows grazing and fruil trees. Actually the farm house was converted into an attractive rural restaurant a number of years ago. Mow it serves as the reception for the hotel and the location of the wonderful breakfast that is served indoors or outside and is wonderfully different each day. The hotelled is manned by a dynamic duo. The wife is the hostess and is very helpful with recommendstioms, advice, etc. The husband dors his majic in the kitchen, creating delicious fresh pies and cakes, for a huge and wonderful breakfast every morning. The rooms which I believe are 16 in number are located in a building built across the path. They are large and all have a balcony or terracs for sitting outside. The view fro the rooms is gorgeous...a lovely littlelske with a row bost you can take out, fruit trees and of course the mountsins in the background.

Great hotel
Posted Sep. 13, 2015 on ExpediaGreat hotel, with excellent staff, lovely views of the surrounding mountains and countryside, and it's own lake. Handy bike hire for excursions (we cycled to Bechtesgarten and caught the train back to Bad Reichenhall). About 20 minutes walk from the hotel to the thermal baths and 30 minutes to the town centre at a gentle amble. It was fairly easy to get a taxi when we did not fancy the walk back in the dark (minimal lighting) - the thermal baths booked them if asked and there is a stand by the train station.

George and Heidi, I shall remember you forever
Posted Jul. 30, 2015 on HotelsWhile all hotels need to set INCOME as a main target, George and Heidi are one level higher. They run their business as a hobby. They put thoughts and hearts into every corner of their country style hotel. True they presume We're some kind of Chinese who cook in the room while we ask for a kettle. It doesn't matter. They are great and responsive people. You will have a good stay in here.

perfect stay
Posted Jul. 12, 2015 on HotelsAbsolutely perfect stay. The room was both large and well appointed. The bed comfortable and great attention to details re: needs of travelers. The breakfast was the best we have aver had at any hotel anywhere. The assortment fantastic and the quality of the food superb. Lastly one must mention that the proprietor is unbelievably helpful and charming. She is a wealth of information and delivers it with panache.

Nature get-away with many other things closeby....
Posted Sep. 22, 2013 on HotelsLoved the setting with large pond on one side also with trees and alps all viewed from balcony. Other side of setting was high verdant grassy mountain with owners ten cows grazing. Heidi is a delight as is her husband, Georg. They seem to make a great team. We had a large comfortable room with all we needed, except washcloths! Seems to be common in Europe. Could walk through woods to Bad Reichenhall which was about 1/2 hr. walk. Breakfasts in the a.m. were wonderful and very satisfying. Drove to a cable car ride up alps as well as take in Salzburg etc. We made the correct choice in staying here! Would recommend to anyone........
