Cozy & relaxing cottage on the lake *Dog Friendly*

Cozy Lake cottage on the Little River Lake. Come relax on the porch with your coffee in the mornings or take an afternoon nap on the hammock. Fish for a little in the afternoon or go down to the Little River Lake Facility and rent a canoe. It’s the perfect get away that is still close to town and wonderful restaurants. Up to two well behaved and vaccinated dogs are welcome on the property. Dog fee $75.00 for up to 2. Sorry, no cats due to allergies. Swimming is not allowed in the lake.

Huge back deck, large yard, beautiful garden cottage with a place to play games or just relax. Perfect for extra room for family staying in town.

The house sits on the Little River Lake. The lake is more for ambiance not for swimming.

Max of two dogs. Dog fee is $75.00 per stay. There is a security camera on the front porch so we can tell when our guest have arrived and can assure they make it into the property safely and so we can tell when they check out so we can go clean the property. There is no swimming allowed in the lake. There is a public park area where canoes can be rented. Early or late check-in fee $50

Relaxing and great view!
Here for a week get-a-way after an appointment at Duke hospital. Very relaxing. Home was very clean with a good layout. View of the lake from several rooms. Didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit or the deck as the weather was too cold. Thankful there was a wood stove in the living room. Wood was not guaranteed but there was enough to have a fire most every night. We would caution about the master bedroom as pictures are not shown of it. There are two step downs to get to the bedroom and the bed itself is on a raised platform. Then there are steps to get up to the bath and shower. Although the room was lovely with a sliding door leading out to the deck, we chose not to use it as we are seniors and didn’t want to chance a fall. We would definitely stay here again!

Great setting, beautiful property. Comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for the long weekend. The host was responsive and very helpful. The master bedroom is difficult to manage with various steps and elevations. The bathroom in the Master needs some leveling/ renovation. Overall, we were very pleased..

Great house near Durham but not too close!!
Loved the property. It was clean, quiet and well appointed. The ONLY suggestion would be to add pictures and description of the master bedroom/bathroom. If there are any mobility issues it could be a problem- it’s very unique and quite cute, but could be an issue for some. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Family decided to get away for a few days and randomly picked this property based on size, location, and reviews. We were very happy with the experience (except for the constant rain), and the host is deserving of SIX stars! She was so incredibly responsive to every tiny little question, it was super helpful. one small recommendation: some sort of lake access for a small boat or something. Maybe not allowed by local ordinances?

CMP Eastern Games Camp Butner
The cabin is located within a 15 minute drive to Camp Butner, restaurants and grocery stores. As my husband was at the games, I appreciated the wifi access and streaming TV. The owners were quick to respond when the grill was out of gas and there was a power outage. The cabin was very clean and the towels and linens were good quality. The pots and pans need to be update, but we're acceptable for a limited stay. I only made dinner two nights. Silver Spoon

wonderful cozy cottage
This was a nice cozy house, well away from the road and very quiet. We had six adult family members staying at the house over the holidays and it was perfect for that purpose. I can also see it would be great for families with kids.. Owners were very responsive when the pipes froze due to the unusually cold weather, and they came out and fixed the problem right away. Thank you Andrea and Amy!

A comfortable place to gather the family
Our sons are adults and are married so spending time with them is important when we can all get our schedules together especially since we live in different states. Plus, we have a golden retriever who has separation issues and does not do well with boarding (she refuses to eat) . We were so happy to find such a comfortable place that was accepting and welcoming for our doggie and to have our family gather, play board games, cook together, roast marshmallows by the fire pit and just enjoy one another's company. The bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen table sat all of us for dinner and board games. We would stay again.

Perfect getaway yet close to the city
This property is tucked away from the hustle and bustle, complete with your own access to the water. Very clean and spacious place. Only about 40 minutes away from Raleigh. Host is friendly and quick to respond. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for!

Great place. All the pictures and discriptions ring true. Beautiful cottage tucked away in the woods on a lake. Andrea was awesome. Zero complaints. If you are concerned about anything, don't be. Just book it. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. Thanks Andrea!!!!

so clean and on the river
A quaint, cozy, clean cottage. Exactly as seen in pictures. Beds are comfortable, medium softness mattresses. One bedroom with on suite bathroom is across the home from other two bedrooms, nice for privacy. The on suite bathroom is separated from bedroom by a wall ,but open to bedroom space. not an issue but different. Large back deck with river view, a big grill, table with umbrella and chairs, and a relaxing tiered water feature, lovely space to relax. Is close to grocery stores 4 or 5 miles. However, it is off a main road so not walking friendly. Owner very communicative, responsive! Highly recommend!
