Hi Austen, I received your review. I am so sorry you felt "yucky" staying at Turn of the Century Charm. I reached out to see how things were going and how the house was, and I didn't receive any answers in regard to what your review stated, so I was a little caught off guard. You replied, "I will make sure to reach out if there are any issues. Thanks for checking in." I'm passionate about making sure my customers' stay is going well, and if things aren't, I like to take care of them, so they have a comfortable stay. It would have been nice to know your concerns at that time, especially the smell, so we could possibly have identified it. As soon as I saw your review, I went to the house to check on the odor you had talked about. All I smelled was the carpet freshener, which I bought from a local natural producer. I asked the cleaner of the house and they haven't ever smelled something off. The door off the bedroom you are referring to goes to the basement door where the washer and dryer are, furnace water heater, and a little back porch that leads to outside. None of which connects to the upstairs. With the upstairs being totally separate from the downstairs, entry, water heater, heat, I was advised by the VRBO/AIR BnB, site to list them as their own units. The site does however say shared washer and dryer. As for the "cut up" Dollar Tree shower curtains, the curtains for keeping the water in the tub are actually three separate panels as I have so far not found a long continuous surround curtain. The two blue panels were supposed to match the blue in the colors of the outside curtain. When I came in and did a "day after" look they did look pretty tawdry, which I will continue to look for a continuous curtain. I do agree the tub could have looked a bit better, which I have talked to my cleaners about. I wish I knew your concerns while you were staying there, so I could address your concerns in the moment to make your stay a lot more pleasant. Teresa
