There are a dozen better choices in Bakersfield

The hotel was mostly empty due to pending -- much-needed -- renovations. Despite assurance that room was clean there were roaches. Bed used a flimsy metal frame that squeaked whenever you moved. Windows were only movable 1/2 inch for ventilation. Bath fixtures were old and some light switches were installed upside down.

Enjoyable

It was a last minute trip and the staff made my check-in quick and easy. ESA was located right off fwy exit, which made it convenient accessing fwy. Plenty of places to eat around the area. Great stay!!!!

The hotel room had cockroaches crawling from the ceiling, bathroom counter, and floor. The overall cleanliness was horrible even though they claim management inspects every room after they are cleaned.

Dirty property and SHADY NEIGHBORHOOD

1. When we arrived at night, there was no one at reception for guests. I called several times and after waiting for about 15 mins in cold with the kids at night, the receptionist returned. 2. Very dirty. 3. SHADY NEIGHBORHOOD- avoid starting here !!!!

The only plus to this hotel was the price. I wasn’t expecting the hotel to, basically, be a home for the homeless. Our room had a strange smell and we found bed bugs. This is the 2nd time I was let down by Extended Stay. They will not get a 3rd chance.

Clean but not quiet or safe area. Maintenance was deferred all around the building, breakfast was mini myffins and nutragrain bars, and all kitchen supplies had to be requested. I even had to ask for shamoo. They didn't even have in room coffee makers or even coffee that could be requested.

The place was poorly maintained, people shouted and made noise outside of the hotel during the whole night. It was stated that there is a complementary breakfast, but the staff said they just offer some cookies and that the coffee machine is broken.
