Little disappointed
Posted Oct. 8, 2023 on HomeAwayMy wife spent the first day picking up dead roaches and killing other ones. Not what we were expecting for the cost. I is apparent that they are spraying. But May need to be done more frequently and make sure housekeeping picks up the dead ones prior to checking in.

We are sorry to hear this was your experience. All of our homes are on a pest program and are sprayed monthly. We do check the homes on the day of arrival by turning on lights, making sure everything is arrival ready and that is not how we would have left a home. You did call our office and we called pest control to come back out and spray the home. We would have been happy to help in another way to make your stay more comfortable.

Posted Sep. 20, 2023 on HomeAwayWe loved our stay at 8 Days a Week. It was clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and in a great location. We can also recommend being at Bald Head Island in September. The weather is perfect, the water is warm, and there is an even more relaxed atmosphere.
The location of this Villa is perfect for walking to the pool, the beach, and the Bald Head Island Cub. It also has excellent views of the entire 18th hole of the golf course, and you can spot lots of wildlife from the decks. The two golf carts are well-maintained and the kitchen has everything you need. We found the property managers friendly, courteous, and easy to work with. This is an excellent choice for an island getaway.

Interesting Vacation
Posted Jun. 3, 2023 on HomeAwayWe have been to Bald Head Island several times and we love the Island. We have stayed at this Villa a couple of times but we did not find it as clean or in as good repair as we have in the past. In the past there were bicycles (not the best but at least some there) and there was also covers on the golf carts in case of rain. No bicycles and no covers in the golf carts. There were only 4 beach towels provided and they were not in good condition. Overall, the Villa was not maintained as well as it had been. Benefit to this Villa is proximity to BHI Club.

We are disappointed to hear this as we spoke to you during your stay and none of these items were mentioned except the rain covers. We do not guarantee rain covers on our properties as they are delicate and we find that many are easily damaged or even lost. We would have been more than happy to bring over any beach towels or assist with any other issues. We have an after hours emergency line and are here daily and wish we could have had the opportunity to help you during your stay.

Needs a good check on everything that doesn’t work in 5he kitchen

Check the entire house before renting! My husband and I have amazing rental properties, one on top of Beech Mountain NC and I make sure all things work….if they get old I replace,…,.management should test those things

We are on island 24/7 and spoke to you on numerous occasions as well as coming over to show show to work the television. We would have been more than happy to bring over a new coffee maker or replace the stove light at that time. We check all of our homes and have maintenance on staff at all times. We wish we could have been able to help you with these during your stay.

Great experience, beautiful views
Posted Sep. 26, 2022 on HomeAwayWe loved our stay here. The view of the golf course and BHI club was beautiful. Everything was easy to get to from this location and it was super convenient having two golf carts available. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies, towels, and a high chair for the baby. Just fyi, no toiletries such as shampoo/lotions are provided in the bathrooms so be sure to bring your own. We did see a couple roaches but also a few dead ones so I’m guessing the house must have recently been sprayed for bugs. This is likely something you will find anywhere you stay on the island and the instructions do mention them. Overall great place to stay and would recommend.

We are glad you enjoyed our home! The house is on a monthly pest control program as the island can have bugs. We do provide a starter pack of items such as laundry pods, dish pods, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, sponge and trash bags that are stated in our contract. We are happy you were able to enjoy all the great amenities with this home!

Great
Posted Sep. 18, 2022 on HomeAwayWe were on the island for a wedding weekend. It was perfect for two couples and we could have had a third comfortably. The golf course view was beautiful and tranquil and it was right across the street from south beach. The villa was nicely decorated and appointed , and check in/checkout was simple.

Very comfortable
Posted Aug. 3, 2022 on HomeAwayThe house was very well appointed, loved the bar and outside furniture. It’s in a great location with great views of pond and golf course. It is very close to beach access. Also loved the outdoor shower.

A birthday get away
Posted Apr. 6, 2022 on HomeAwayWe had a great time. There was only one restaurant open during our stay because of the time of year. This was okay because we brought food to bbq. The tornado warning was fun and the lightning and thunder storm was also fun. The weather was great and the beach was clean and beautiful. Thousands and thousands of shelf’s.
