Spectacular Holiday Weekend
Publié le 11 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy husband and I took my mom away for a beach weekend “do-over” after she had a terrible trip with friends a couple months ago. So we had high expectations for making everything perfect and spoiling my mom! This house was ideal in every way for a quiet weekend on BHI. We woke up every morning and headed straight to the beach for a peaceful walk. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals. There were also beach chairs, bikes, and two golf carts. Everything about the house was in great condition and exactly as advertised. Lauren was a dream host - super responsive and gave us great tips about the island. We can’t wait to come back!

An oasis in paradise
Publié le 18 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe location and the house are quintessential BHI - cozy, inviting and "perfect" in a shabby chic way. The best part of the house IMO is the large open kitchen-dining-living area with couches and chairs that eat you up and create the perfect place to unwind with a book and glass of wine after a day trekking around the island.
The porches are fabulous for watching the sunrise, sunset and everything in between. Should you decide to go to the beach, just walk right out the back door and you're maybe 100 feet from the sand dunes.
Highly recommend coming here to unwind and return to a peaceful bliss, whether with friends, family or even just solo. It's truly a wonderful beachy oasis. Bis Bald!

The property was clean and as described; in a great location at beach access 30 with plenty of bedrooms and common space to share. The booking and check-in processes were a breeze. The owner was awesome; very helpful and responsive to all of our questions. Thank you for a great stay!

Amy was so easy to work with - house had everything we needed! My only “complaint” - the toaster! Way to small for 7 people!

So glad you had a great time. I will definitely look into getting a bigger toaster! I am gluten intolerant so I don't make toast. I guess it never occurred to me that I might need a bigger toaster! LOL!

We’ll be back!

We have been coming to the island for over 30 years and this was one of the best stocked houses. Amy has thought of everything. The kitchen has plenty of glasses, dishes, serving platters etc. Rooms were comfortable. There were a number of high quality beach chairs with lots of beach toys for our kids in the garage. The house is a quick walk over the dune to a beautiful wide part of South beach. Overall a great trip and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend this house!

Great week on Bald Head island
Publié le 19 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house served us well. Very functional kitchen. We found all the cookware and utensils we needed and the configuration could handle multiple people using it at once. The dining table was just big enough for 7 adults, two school age children, and a new-to-solid food infant in the provided high chair. Spacious living area and deck got a lot of use throughout the day/night. Access to the excellent beach was easy just over the nearby dunes. Great for walking, running, and lounging, depending on the tide. All in all, would highly recommend and would absolutely stay again.
