Publié le 21 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe come yearly, my best friend and I. We started staying exclusively at this property last year because it checks EVERY box for us. Close to town yet semi secluded. Hot tub, beautiful view of big bucks and herring, close trout fishing. Love it!

Great cottage!
Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe have no complaints. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, plenty of space indoors. We made use of the fire pit every night. Loved the hot tub! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our meals. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and the 20 or so turkeys running through the yard from the swing. The lake is a 5 minute walk. There is access to launch your kayaks, but not a lot of space to sit in the sand. It was a joy to stay here!

Week of rest and relaxation
Publié le 16 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayCottage was super cute. Very clean and cozy. We were a little disappointed that the wet land in the back was dried up but it was still a very peaceful view. Enjoyed the hot tub however do wish it had a little bit more privacy from neighbors, fortunately they were not home during our stay. Over all we had a nice relaxing time.

Thanks for the feedback. The wetland in the back dried up this spring and we are hoping for some rain this fall to help re-establish the beauty and wildlife it brings.

Cute cabin getaway
Publié le 8 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved the cabin! Kitchen is well stocked! The property is nicely shaded and we took advantage of that with our hammocks! Super hot while we were there so only used the hot tub once but can see that it’s a nice bonus perk!

HEALTH HAZARD!! Contracted bacterical infection from hot tub
Publié le 29 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was hands down the worst vacation rental experience I have ever had in my life. Myself and a companion stayed for two nights; from Friday to Sunday, at the property. During our stay we both began feeling ill, and hours upon our return Sunday evening we broke out in full body rashes along with experiencing vomitting and diarrhea. I immediately called my doctor on Monday and was seen Tuesday. I was diagnosed with the condition "Pseudomonas Folliculitis," caused from the bacteria Pseudomonas Aeruginosa growing in the hot tub due to lack or proper cleaning and maintenance. My doctor told me I needed to let the property owners know so they could drain and properly clean the hot tub. I reached out to the property owners and VRBO to let them know of the bacterial infection I contracted from their property. I sent proof and picutres including the horrible rash on my body, test results and after visit summary from my doctor showing the bacterial infection along with prescription information I had to take in order to treat the condition. The property owners have been unwilling to communicate, or to issue a full refund. I have been waiting a month now to hear back from them.
I am mortified and apalled how the property hosts have treated me and handled this situation, especially considering the proof and records I provided detailing this absolutely horrific experience. I have permanent scarring all over my body from this nightmare experience. I would give zero stars if I could.

We did not ignore your claim and take very seriously the sanitation and upkeep of the hot tub and the home.
In response to you not being able to access our hot tub, the instructions were emailed as well as printed and on the counter with the keys to unlock it. You also said you were having such a great time on Sunday that you asked for a late check out and we accommodated that as well.
You contacted us on Tuesday evening and after your complaint was received we blocked all dates so no one could rent our home while we investigated. We took a water sample in for testing an no evidence was found of the bacteria in our water. In addition we completely drained the hot tub, cleaned the water lines inside it and refilled and replaced with a brand new filter. We also had the new water tested.
Prior to those results we did refund part of your stay as a good faith gesture. After doing that, you went directly to VRBO as you wanted a full refund and didn't want to wait for us to get the testing done. You provided them with evidence that we were never given access to or received. We also responded with our results to your claim through VRBO as you chose to use them instead of communicating directly with us.
Again, we apologize for the experience you had with the rash but are sure that it did not come from our hot tub. We took your claim seriously and took all the necessary steps to assure that our hot tub is safe.

Multiple Stays
Publié le 23 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis is my third time staying at this rental property, and it was just as great as the first. Check in/out process, cleanliness, amenities, etc. are all top notch. Quiet neighborhood and close to town. The hot tub is the best part. Hope to be back again next year!

Very clean cabin
