Publié le 12 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayBeautiful space, comfy bed and lovely spot. The place needed a good dust, the grout in the shower needed a good scrub and all the cobwebs inside removed. Apart from that a really nice stay. Appreciated the doggie fence.

In response to your feedback, this review forum provides an opportunity for information to guests and their expectations who come into an active, working farming environment.
We do a deep COVID clean between guests which involves high temperature steam cleaning for the floors, wiping down every surface with a light bleach solution. We finish by treating all soft furnishings with a non-toxic antiviral spray.
The beautiful Italian porcelain floor tiles are the result of a photographic imprint of an ancient Roman floor with imperfections and variation highlighted.
You may have been under the impression that they needed a good scrub when they are steam cleaned between each guest stay.
This is important as we do not use harsh chemical products in the bathroom which find their way into the environment and water table. The grout is coloured to reflect the antiquity of the tiles - there is no need for a good scrub as they are pristine clean..
Spiders are a very important part of the garden and you may have notices that there were no mosquitos - we have the balance between very harmful and dangerous insects such as mosquitoes by encouraging spiders outside working with the birds.
So we use no poisons in the garden and no harsh cleaning products inside - relying on steam.
I hope this provides insight to some of the issues that you raised.

Lovely cottage set in a delightful part of the countryside

The fact that we could take our dog was great, as not enough holiday accomadation is available for people travelling with the family pet. An area was made for her to sit in the sun & enjoy the garden. The decor in the cottage had a French flavour which was very interesting, it was all beautifully clean & the bed bed most comfortable. Get pet friendly stay!
