James Farmhouse Experience

Oven dirty, wouldn’t use, some kitchen cupboards grotty, ants everywhere House very dusty, especially in lounge room, TV Unit and DVD. The whole house could do with a spring clean. WIFI hopeless, works in kitchen. Sorry to the owners/managers but..

We have taken note of your comments regarding the cleanliness of the house, specifically the oven, kitchen cupboards, and the dust in the lounge room and TV unit.
We sincerely apologise for these oversights and will ensure that our cleaning team addresses these issues immediately. If you had contacted us and let us know of the issues, I would have had them addressed immediately.
Regarding the ants, we would like to mention that being in a rural area and the recent rain may attract them. We do provide spray in the house to help manage this situation.
Regarding the WIFI situation, we understand how important it is to have a reliable connection and are actively working on improving this service for our guests. Unfortunately, weather conditions can impact our connection.
We value your input as it helps us to improve and provide a better experience for all our future guests. We hope you will consider staying with us again so we can have the opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable experience.

The owner when contacted was always helpful and responded promptly.
Would definitely stay there again.

A great family get away!
Publié le 10 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a lovely stay. The house comfortably fitted our group of 13 and was a great spot for us to go exploring in the nearby national parks. A short walk to the Ballandean Tavern for a tasty meal, and also to the general store and coffee shop. The kids also loved playing in the large grounds and on the swings. A very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Great weekend getaway

Lovely, comfortable, spacious farmhouse

The house was spacious, comfortable, warm and generously equipped - plenty of towels, bedding, glasses, kitchen equipment, everything we needed for a weekend away. The lounge room was fantastic and we spent most of our time there, in front of the open fire. Thank you James and Mary Ann.

Great trip for family and friends

Short stay at Ballandean
Publié le 11 juill. 2020 sur HomeAwayWe were a group of 8 staying at James Farmhouse mid week. We had planned for 3 nights but were cut back to 2 due to extra time being needed to clean because of the pandemic. The house was very suited to our purpose mainly because of the large kitchen and dining table. We experienced some cold weather but the house was warmed by two fires and several oil heaters. Ample firewood was supplied along with an axe.
The house was clean but some of the bedrooms were quite small and the beds only acceptably comfortable. The lounge had plenty of comfortable seating and an efficient wood stove for heating.
