I spent one night in Ballina when my flight was grounded due to storms. Neil and Emma were wonderful hosts, welcoming and kind! The room was spacious, and equipped thoughtfully, with a full set of dishes for two as well as a refrigerator and microwave. The location was convenient to restaurants, and Neil kindly gave me a ride down the street to the pub so I wouldn't have to go out walking in the rainstorm (and lent me an umbrella for the trip back). In short, the inn was nice, and the hospitality was utterly superb!

Spider and webs above bed
Unsafe light switch for bathroom

Thanks for the review and feedback Shari. The light switch is a fraction sticky and will be replaced asap however it is far from unsafe as you describe. Certainly no spider and or spider webs above the bed in your or any room in our very clean motel.

Our family of 6 only stayed 1 night, but if our travels allowed for us to have more time in Ballina we would have loved to stay longer. The room was spacious and accommodated us comfortably.
Close to shops and a variety of dining options within walking distance.
