First of all, I have to say that we are used to VRBO's Premier Hosts. Our expectations are higher for Premier Hosts, especially since we paid more than at any other locations in the past.
Let's start with the good things. The location is awesome, close to many activities and a beautiful sunset. We took several great photos. The home has 3 bedrooms, which could easily sleep 6. Also, the owner was kind enough to let us check in earlier, which was good.
On the other side:
- The home has several (kind of) spider webs, and the kitchen cabinets had a smell (like an old shack).
- The cutlery was old, and some pieces didn't have handles or were broken.
- Only one roll of toilet paper, with no spare.
- No external garbage bin.
- No basic condiments such as salt.
- A fireplace without wood.
- The internet was slow, not workable even for texting.
- The old heating system was hard to set; some of the handles were so old they didn't stick to their hubs.
- Beds were small for tall people (5'10"), and some were uncomfortable to the point where we took the kids' beds instead.
Maybe we are picky, but I am pretty sure many of these are show-stoppers for others. For us, they were, and we left a day earlier.
