Publié le 15 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe drove 10 hrs to take my father to an Orioles game to full fill his bucket list to find out after the game and checking into our condo someone was already in there staying because it was already booked out for the weekend. I had to call and talk to someone for over an hour to find out that they couldn’t help but tell me I should be getting a refund. They said I had to find my own stay somewhere else at 10:20pm. Closest place open was an hour away and had to drive there to check in. My father is 72 years old and having all this happening on his special day wasn’t great. Hopefully I pray that you guys follow through and get my refund back.

Upon arrival (at approximately 11/11:30PM), the secure location was not secure. Instead of needing a keycode to obtain entry, we simply pulled the door open. The unit was dimly lit with smooth jazz playing, over-heated and on first appearances, it looked cute and cozy.
We quickly learned otherwise when my partner had to immediately CLEAN the bathroom so we could utilize the facilities. The property management was aware I'd recently had an emergency surgery and we booked SOLELY based on the cleaning advertised. I cannot begin to tell you how grossly misrepresenting the pictures advertised ARE!
That night and the next morning we discovered: the dryer door was propped close and fell off in our hands, as was the toilet paper and holder and towel rack near the toilet, (This location ALSO charges an optional property damage fee), stains on the flip sides of the pillowcases, severely pilled sheets, dirty handprints on the walls, door facings, and light switches, as well as visible wall staining and grime from usage. Additionally, the dust and grime (from time and use) was quite visible in the corners of the baseboards as well as on the walls, window sills and fixtures. The oven was dirty and there was a dead roach in the fridge (IF indeed there was a contract with a professional cleaning service/cleaner NONE OF THIS WOULD BE PRESENT). The "coup de gras" was when the heat went out in the middle of the night on our last night there.
After notifying the property manager of our myriad of issues, she promptly (& repeatedly) replied with, "You should have called us sooner (I assume she wanted us to notify her sooner than day 2 of our 4 day stay) so it could have been re-cleaned". (Keeping in mind my partner had already re-cleaned the bathroom and kitchen just so we COULD utilize them). Despite the manager being both new to the property and painfully unknowledgeable about it as well as her standard operating procedure, she blame-shifted and made very little effort to assist us.
***As of 01/13/2021 No appeasement, partial refund for the nightly rate, full refund for the falsified "Cleaning fee", nor apology has been offered. Each time I attempt to reach out for assistance is directly was met with no response. We had to contact VRBO merely to prompt a response from the property manager. TRULY A NIGHTMARE!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
