Mountain Family Cabin near Lava Hot Springs

This beautifully renovated 3400 sq ft, four bedroom, three bath, secluded log cabin, nestled on 10 acres, near Lava Hot Springs, which includes a large grove with tent sites, hammocks, fire-pit, and large tables, is ready for family, friends, and loved ones to enjoy! It sits next door to our other VRBO Property the Inn at Owl Hollow. Rent both properties for large family reunions! This has been a loved family home for over 40 years! You will love it here! Please note the cabin has beds for 22 people and the 45 is only during the summer due to the ability to use the tent sites!
There is a huge bonus room that is over 1100 sq ft with 6 built in bunk beds (sleeps 12) and one queen bed. There is plenty of space to bring own cots and air mattresses. We supply some extra tables and chairs for your use. Each bed is made with fresh, clean, quality linens. 2 Bathrooms include double showers, 1 bathroom has a shower/tub combo. Each bathroom includes fluffy white bath towels to be used at the cabin, (please bring your own swim towels for the pools at Lava hot Springs ) toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer.
I love the huge kitchen with commercial appliances, 2 dishwashers, 2 large fridge, 3 ovens, huge gas range, and a breakfast bar that seats 8! Appliances include a coffee maker, crock pot, blender, mixer, rice-cooker, and a griddle. We have a KitchenAid Gas Grill on the beautiful 12ft wide front deck. BBQ utensils are in the kitchen.
There is an 80 inch smart television with a Roku stick in the family room. A second smart television with a roku stick is in the large bonus room.
There are 4 private bedrooms. 2 have king beds and 2 have queen beds. The bonus room, as mentioned before, has 6 sets of bunk beds along the walls and one queen bed. The tent sites are located in a beautiful grove behind the cabin. You are also allowed to put tents on the flat grass area where the RV hook up is located. No tents are allowed on the lawn surrounding the cabin as we run sprinklers beginning at midnight. No driving on the lawn. It is a walk in camp site. We do have two hand carts for your use to bring your items to the grove. The entire property is only rented to one group at a time.
Yes bring your children! For some reason it sometimes pops up that the property is not child friendly. Our children and grandchildre love this cabin and property! Up to 2 dogs are allowed with an additional $100 Pet Fee per stay. We will check for pets :) The person who reserves the property is responsible for their guests. There is a spot for one RV hook up. Should you want to use it there is an extra $45 fee per night and that fee will be paid on site. Please text or call me at 2085477197 and I will be happy to answer any questions. I do change the rates for the seasons. Peak season is Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New year are charged peak time rates. Beyond Expectations!
My wife and I hosted a family reunion for about 30, all ages. We wanted a place that was a short distance from Lava, had plenty of sleeping accomodations, big eating/dining area with a full kitchen, comfortable furniture for kicking back, and a quiet shady site with plenty of room and a firepit. The Cabin more than met our expectations! I asked a few questions between booking and checkin. The owner/host is wonderful - very timely and efficient with clear responses. Cleaning crew was great. The beds are comfortable, linens fresh, dishes and cooking utinsels stocked, wireless works great, easy parking, great views, less than 15 minutes to Lava, a really cool wooded area with firepit, benches, and tent sites. Large lawn area was perfect for volleyball and cornhole We had an absolutely awesome reunion, in large part because of this awesome place! Highly recommended!,

So wonderful!
We took a youth group girls camp to this property. It was thr beat of both world for them. Bathrooms, showers, a kitchen ad huge room to gather in, yet a place to camp in tenta and enjiy the out doors. Ita so close to Lava hot aprings where we did so many activities yet secluded and juat beautuful. The host was the best host ibhave ever had. Checking in on us and answering all the questions and even bringing more supplies for us. We had everything we needed. I think ai will bring my family back to stay and hope we can bring the youth budget permitting.

We had a young women's camp with over 40 people here and it was perfect for our group! It was so beautiful! We loved having the woods for tents and fires and the grass for games and lawn fun. The dining area was not quite as pictured, but other than that it was perfect.

This property was excellent from the grounds, to the cabin itself wirh all of it's amenities. There was only one area of concern. There were only 3 bathrooms for the entire cabin. We were a family of 10 adults and 3 children and everything ws doable. Larger families may have some issues. All in all, we all had wonderful time and will do it again in the future!

Great place for a reunion
We had 25 of us for a family reunion. This was the best equipped place we have ever stayed. There were plenty of beds, linens and towels and everything you could possibly need for cooking in the kitchen. The barbecue on the balcony is huge and there is plenty of seating outside and inside. We loved the huge lawn, the piano and rhe campfire area and hammocks. Close to Lava Hot Springs and Soda Springs for activities.

Exceeded our Expectations
We've stayed at many vrbo rentals, and this one exceeded all of our expectations! First the basics. Kitchen was fully stocked, I mean its rare to find a lemon juicer, but we did. If you need three griddles for pancake breakfast, they've got them. Colanders, crockpots, bbq tools and roasting sticks for the fire pits. There really wasn't anything we went looking for that we didn't find. The bunk room was huge and just plain fun. We were a little leery about the 'togetherness' of it, but ended up loving it. Four private bedrooms downstairs for gram and gramps and a few of our families with babies was perfect. Sometimes it is the simple things that make the biggest difference - we really appreciated soft toilet paper and paper towels that actually absorb. Too many vrbo stays had us headed to the closest store to replace scratchy, thin TP and cheap paper towels. The hosts were very responsive. They put a lot of effort into making the cabin comfortable and workable. Many notes around the house and even a rope with clothespins ready for our littles to hang their plastic cups. All of that said, the real winner was the location. Nestled against the mountain, you have a wooded forest to explore and also tons of grassy lawn for those less adventurous. The view from the wrap around deck had us in awe every time we went out. This place was a 10 out of 10 and we plan to make it a tradition to come back every year!

Great experience!
The location of the cabin was amazing, and we were a short drive from the springs. The cabin itself was beautiful, and the views even more! It was too snowy to explore the wilderness but we did see some wildlife! There was an issue with the water but the owner had someone come fix it right away and there was no issue afterwards. We would definitely come stay again!

Cherished Memories
The cabin and property were absolutely what our family needed. We were able to sled just outside the cabin. It was beautiful, peaceful and wonderful especially for our son who just got back from deployment with Special Forces. We had privacy and a nice cabin to meet in. It was clean and the kitchen was large which nicely accommodated our large family. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. It was a great place to strengthen family relationships and have fun.

This place is a family favorite. We came back for our second family reunion and we'll be back again. The location is gorgeous, the cabin is spacious, beautifully decorated and stocked for the amount of people it can hold. We love this special place. Beautiful cabin and wonderful weekend
We just held a family reunion with almost 40 people. This cabin was amazing! The pictures do not do it justice. We loved the many bedrooms, the huge kitchen and the kids especially loved the loft area where they all got a big cousin sleepover. And that’s just inside! The grounds were well taken care of and the view from the deck was breathtaking. We loved the camping area and the fire pit and had s’mores every night together. Overall it was perfect for us and we would 100% stay there again.

A scenic, flexible, generous venue
We held our yearly family reunion at the Neibaur cabin, and we were impressed with our experience. The cabin was stocked generously with solid-quality supplies, the location was breathtaking, and the management was easy to work with. Our family reunion of 42 people including adults, teenagers and young children had a great time at this beautiful property. It had all the kitchen space, cooking supplies, laundry, indoor and outdoor seating that we needed. Lots of beds available but we still needed to sleep a couple families in tents in the woods--but the summer weather was just right for camping out. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Nice property with lots of common space
This property has a nice home with plenty of space and lovely grounds. We liked that there were large open areas and a balcony near the kitchen so that there was plenty of eating space. The owner was great about communicating with us, and was very thoughtful in the things that were provided in the home. The only minor issue for us was that the description said that cell service was usually pretty good, but it was spotty at best for most of us. Since we had family in multiple properties, the challenges this presented were a bit of an issue. But other than that, we really enjoyed our stay!
