Natalie, We thank you for being returning military customers that received a discount coming into our house. We accommodated you quickly in granting access to our closet where we keep hundreds of dollars worth of supplies. So you could change the sheets upon entering the house for your small children to go to bed prior to the cleaners arriving. The cleaners arrived quickly and we explained that they dropped the ball. We apologized for this several times throughout the conversations. The cleaning gal did hurt her wrist and had to go to the emergency room later that evening. Our hearts did go out to her for her hurting herself. She probably was carrying the trash out with her hurt wrist because she didn’t want you to be upset further with her or us. The cleaning lady told us that everything was cleaned and that you all were very happy and kind to her and told her not to worry about the kitchen and living room area that they had already started eating dinner and didn’t want to be disturbed. At that point we felt all was a little better. I took it upon myself to talk to the cleaners to see what sort of discount we could extend. Upon your departure, we discovered that the house was left trashed. Literally, trash was left everywhere. Dirty towels, linens and dirty dishes in the kitchen. The soap dish had been broken off in the shower. (that could have occurred accidentally its unclear) Several of the dish towels were discovered to have been intentionally cut in half. Our front door was left wide open. Leaving all elements and animals, cold air, and snow in all day. An air of intentional malicious behavior occurred with no consideration for the property itself. In the mean time you were telling the cleaners you were happy with everything. At the same time texting myself and my husband complaining the entire time. We felt there was no way to make you all happy. We believed the discrepancy between the cleaners conversation and our text messages that we were receiving were to see how much of a discounted holiday that you could receive. Even with all that, we were still going to give a refund. Upon looking at the house once the departure happened, the condition of the house did not lend towards a refund of any sort. Jennifer
