Hummingbird Chalet
Publié le 23 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe could not have picked a more lovely chalet for a family visit to the Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park area. "Wow-factor" water views with a nice back yard and coveted beach access allowing for strolls at low-tide. The property is private, quiet and scenic- a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of nearby Bar Harbor where parking can be challenging due to crowds. Very close access to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, food, mini-golf and other nearby harbors for fishing, sight-seeing, etc. I would 100% recommend this property to any friends or family visiting the area. We'd recommend bringing drinking water given the water supply's mineral content, but this would be our top pick if and when we ever come back to Maine.

Wonderful Vacation

Perfect Bar Harbor vacation
Publié le 2 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur family of 4 (boys ages 11 & 13) had a wonderful vacation in Bar Harbor. Vira’s house is in a prime location on Hadley point. The sunsets on the point are spectacular! We were in town or the park most of the days but the location is super close and convenient! The house was so cute, cozy and had everything we needed. It was very clean and welcoming too. We would love to stay here again if we have the opportunity to visit again! Thank you Vira for a great stay!

Best rental property I’ve ever stayed at

Very responsive host and even had the opportunity to check in early. The views are amazing with beach access on property. Great deck for watching the water-even saw a whale from the property. Highly recommend.

Attention to detail!
Publié le 14 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe have stayed in several VRBO’s and this one may be the best. It was exactly what we were hoping for and more! Slept 5 adults comfortably. Every amenity you would need in the kitchen, laundry, and bathroom. Comfortable beds and pillows, box fan in the closet for those of you that sleep better with a fan like my crew.
Simple walk to the private beach or walk 5 minutes down to the public beach. I would recommend this to any family, group of friends or even a couple looking for a quiet getaway close to the park and Bar Harbor.

Family trip to Acadia

Publié le 2 août 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family (2 adults, 2 young children) had a lovely stay in Bar Harbor! The home was clean and well-kept. Window a/c units were helpful in keeping the home comfortable during the July midday heat. Quiet and serene with easy access to town by car.

Beautiful home and location
Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe location was ideal for a family of five to explore Acadia. We also spent a lot of time enjoying the lovely beach and wading in the water. The drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor was easy. We enjoyed dinner and ice cream at the nearby Sweet Pea cafe. The house was very clean and charming with a great kitchen for cooking family meals. The house, however, is not a 2-bedroom as listed. It's a 1-bedroom plus loft. We were disappointed with this because we like to put our kids to bed at night, then have some adult time, but the kitchen and living room were open to the kids' "room." The listing doesn't disclose this.

Nice house minutes away from the downtown area of Bar Harbor.
Publié le 12 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was nice and clean. It was cozy and had a nice view from the back yard. The only issue we had was with the shower. The water pressure was really low and the temperature would be really hot for a minute, warm for a minute, then run cold. I also think that if some kayaks were made available it could be a selling point. I know I would have paid more if those were available. But overall the stay was good.
