Such a welcoming inn!
Publié le 16 juill. 2018 sur ExpediaMy mother and I had the best stay at Heathwood Inn when we visited Bar Harbor this summer. The staff is amazingly nice and they even prepared for my last breakfast the famous pumpkin waffles I had seen in the comments and nicely asked for - if possible (they are so delicious). It is also very easy to move around the island as one of the island buses can stop right in front of the Inn, allowing you to explore Acadia without a car and struggling to find parking. Yass!

Emplacement : Proche de centre ville de Bar Habor
J'ai bien aimé mon expérience, on avait accès a un frigidaire dans la salle à manger bonne commodité. On pouvait rentré à l'heure qu'on voulait. Belle petite auberge, il faut être sociale et si les vitres sont fermé et l'air climatisé fonctionnait on entendait pas les voitures sur la route.

Highlight of the stay is breakfast included, which is offered at a restaurant in bar harbor. Otherwise conditions of the hotel matched my expectations, i.e. not much.
The room is small, old and a bit smelly, BUT it is better than my stays past years, in same price range.
So the issue is not with the hotel, but with the region which lacks quality hotels for reasonable cost
Set your expectations right and you will enjoy the stay.

Room needs an update (bigger shower),and properly around the house needs to be better maintained.
Breakfast is good but 15min drive is too far away.

It is a very unique place in that is it nicely decorated, B&B feel and not too expensive, very quiet, right off the major road, I have a Hunters Brook room, nice bathroom, nice furniture, free tea and coffee and snacks, I was very pleased it and it was close to Bar Harbor and all things close by in either direction.

The property and room were great. Easy check-in and check-out using access codes instead of regular keys or key cards were a breeze. The stained glass window panes in the front window in the tub room were a great touch. Beware of the comfy bed and pillows, they will swallow you up and take you to dreamland very quickly. We will be there again soon.

This is an unstaffed inn. I was never told which room I was put in, so I had to go door to door trying my combination.

Great room - the air conditioner was loud, and never got the opportunity to eat at the recommended place for breakfast. Didn’t want to drive back to Bar Harbor, pay to park to have a free breakfast.

Old property and not maintained. Smell in toilet remain always .

Hello Anjani. We would have appreciated if you let us know about smell in the toilet which is strange as housekeeping is normally on property or close by. Our property is an older house but it is being maintained rather nicely and newly redecorated this season. All the best with your future stays elsewhere
