Magical woodland stay

The set up of the yurt, camp fire, hammock and kitchen area allowed us to experience all the fun of camping outdoors in a special place but with no stress. The walks and views from the yurt are wonderful and whatever the weather there was always something to do. A great location to reach Barmouth beach too, just a short drive up the road.

Relaxing Short Break
Publié le 6 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayVery cosy, comfortable and quiet, made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent spot for friendly dogs. The yurt, kitchen area and bathroom were all perfect for our stay. Great location for walks with some starting only a few steps from the yurt itself. All in all a lovely little place that we hope to return to.

10 wunderbareTage
Publié le 8 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayDie Lage, allein unter großen Eichen, ohne Blickkontakt zu anderen Häusern macht die Jurte und ihr Umfeld zu einem ganz besonderen Ort. Wir waren 10 Tage und 10 Nächte in der Jurte. Wir haben als Familie jeden einzelnen davon genossen.
Unsere Kinder (zwischen 1 und 11 Jahren) waren in der unmittelbaren Umgebung immer beschäftigt. Beim Umhertollen, Schweine und Hühner füttern, Lagerfeuer machen, Hütten bauen oder beim Mountainbiken im angrenzenden Wald.
Die Wanderungen, die direkt von der Jurte starten sind wunderschön und einsam. Die Landschaft ist voll von faszinierenden geschichtlichen Zeugnissen und zauberhafter Natur. Auch die weitere Umgebung hat sehr viel zu bieten. Sandstrand, Berge, schöne Städchen, Bikeparks, gute Pubs...
Die Gastgeber, Rob und Jennifer sind mehr als freundlich. Sie haben uns viele tolle Tips gegeben und uns auch mit Wanderkarten und sogar Bikeausrüstung versorgt.
Ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt!
Allein die Geräusche der nahen, aber unsichtbaren, Straße haben die Idylle zeitweise etwas getrübt. Der Geruch der Jurte, der uns noch für einige Tage folgte, war aber bald verflogen.

Publié le 28 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe were a family of 5, we loved the yurt, it was clean and tidy and were given all the information we needed when we arrived. Rob and his wife were great help throughout our stay and were always there if we needed them.

Experience with children

As per advert the yurt is in the forest which does mean you need to be very vigilant with the children. Would stop again but felt my grandchildren are a tad too young yet for the environment .

What a wonderful getaway

The property is absolutely stunning, the pictures do not do it justice at all. The yurt and kitchen is very well equipped. There was nothing we needed. A short drive to Barmouth but there are walks to do from the Yurt with some of the most stunning views of the bay. Our children had a wonderful time playing in the woods, relaxing in the hammock and fell in love with the free range chickens which produce the most delicious eggs. We are already trying to work out when we could go back for another visit. Thank you Rob and Jen for making us feel so welcome.
