Peaceful vacation
Publié le 24 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property is very comfortable and what you would expect from an older cottage. advertised as pet friendly and you will notice they have been present. beautiful front porch but dog hair under table. property is beautiful and very private, we enjoyed our fires at night. Dont leave any thing edible on the porch at night, we did have visitors that enter through the screens. Kitchen is well stocked with anything you will need. We enjoyed our 7 days and will miss the loons, deer and turkeys.

Publié le 17 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house is how it is described. Very basic. Was not a fan of the bunk beds because if you do not have children with you then its a waste of a room. They are built too close to each other and the ladder is right in the middle so really no room around it. The porch was the best part and where we spent most of our time there. Definitely a summer home with the lake being a stones throw from the house. The grass was way too long and definitely needed to be cut also a ton of geese poop. Other than that it is a good stay if you are not going to spend most of your days inside.

Publié le 16 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe description of the cottage and its location is pretty much exactly the way that the listing said. The dock was not in, however. That was not a problem for me and it may have been for someone who was bringing a boat.
This is nothing that the owner can control but you might want to check the water quality of the lake before you go. It occasionally has cynobacteria blooms.

Publié le 15 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayPulling up it was beautiful. There was a ton of duck/goose poop which we cleaned so the kids were not stepping in it and bringing it indoors. Also was woken up at 7 am to them putting a roof on the house next door. That continued until about 4:30 pm. Luckily it was completed the same day.

This is why we discourage people from feeding the geese. It attracts them to the property. Unfortunately we cannot control where geese decide to sleep at night. Sorry for the inconvenience.
We also cannot control the neighbors working on their homes.
