Perfect getaway from NYC
Publié le 23 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis charming, clean and fun tiny house is not too close and not too far from where my husband and I live in Queens. It's about a 2.5 hour drive through picturesque mountains and winding back roads (must be beautiful in the fall) to get to Julius' quiet and private home on the Delaware River.
We spent two days not doing much at all but cooking, hiking and admiring the view. There's plenty of wildlife to enjoy but it's not too remote. There are a few restaurants, an antique shop, a wine shop, an ice cream parlor and even a kayaking and rafting rental within walking distance.
Our host dropped by twice (lives off the property). Once to welcome us and get us acquainted with the area and once to say goodbye. He was very friendly and helpful but also seemed intent on allowing us to take advantage of the scenery on our own.
I feel like this rental would be a hit in any season. The sound of the river was especially peaceful. We would definitely go back!

Great for time alone, time in Nature, and fun in Bethel Woods.

Tiny House on Beautiful Upper Delaware River
Publié le 15 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayVery nice property with direct access to the river. The tiny house itself is truly just that: very tight accommodations.
Takes a little getting used to, but once we did, we had a very enjoyable stay. The owner/manager is very environmentally-oriented and well-informed and fun to talk with. He pointed out a good spot just downstream on the river that had good smallmouth bass fishing.
