Great time!
Basel is a quaint city. Rooms were clean. Easy public transportation to downtown and zoo. The hotel bar had a great attentive bartender and breakfast was a good spread every day.

Everything was very nice with lovely Christmas decorations for the holiday season. We did get charged for breakfast for both mornings even though we only ordered it for one day, so double-check they understand what you are requesting.

Our stay in the Marriott Hotel in Basel was very nice, however with no breakfast included in the price it was a very expensive experience. We also had to pay for parking which was much more than expected.

OK for one night
There is no parking garage from the hotel. The next one is the messe parking garage. Because of a big street constraction between hotel and messeplatz, it was a quite distance to the hotel especially when traveling with luggage.
