Perfect in every way
Posted May 31, 2024 on HomeAwayAbsolutely loved it. The Barn is such a comfortable and cosy place and the views from it are stunning. Exactly the place to go to get away from the rat race and enjoy some peace and quiet. Vivienne and Richard are the perfect hosts and we arrived to some delicious homemade goodies and supplies, such a thoughtful touch. Can't wait to go back.

Lovely cottage with all the amenities you could ask for
Posted May 22, 2024 on HomeAwayHosts were absolutely lovely, couldn't do enough for us and didn't batter an eyelid when one of the dogs just invited themself into their house 🙈 just laughed. Perfect for staying for badminton horse trials, 20mins away from the park.
It has all the amenities you could ask for and super roomy for a 1 bed cottage. Plenty of parking and a little outside area - note the outside area is not enclosed so the dogs can roam free.
The only thing I would say is if you're not a confident driver and worried about reversing up narrow lanes, this isn't for you. It's on a narrow single track lane with only a couple of passing points. I drive tractors down lanes like this so wasn't phased but I can see it putting some ppl off.
This is the only reason it doesn't get 5 full stars!

Beautiful Property
Posted May 19, 2024 on HomeAwayExcellent lodge, clean and tidy. Milk, eggs and bacon in the fridge. Fresh baked bread and a birthday cake for my dad left on the side.
Location very quiet, pheasants and a goose visit daily.
Very nice owners who asked when they saw us if we needed anything.
Will be visiting again.

Comfortable bolthole in beautiful countryside
Posted Apr. 30, 2024 on HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay. The cottage is private, cosy and very comfortable. The view and surrounding countryside is stunning and so peaceful. It feels remote and far from everything, just the ticket for a quiet weekend away and yet it's a short drive to the nearest village and very close to Bath. We loved it and will look to return very soon.

Absolutely charming and peaceful getaway but close enough to pop over to Bath and nearby pubs.

Relaxing break
Posted Mar. 17, 2024 on HomeAwayOur second stay and we had a wonderful few days. Vivienne was a wonderful host- loved the bread and the drizzle cake!
The cottage was as we remembered, cosy and warm ( we loved the log burner) and it was a joy to wake up to the peace and quiet.
We will return!

Great get away
Posted Feb. 26, 2024 on HomeAwayFab place to stay for a weekend. The barn was perfect for us and for our dogs. We had plenty of space everything we needed and it was lovely and clean. The host was very friendly. We just loved the kindness of them leaving milk, eggs, bacon and even fresh cooked bread and cake out for our arrival. Highly recommended and we will be returning.
