One simply gorgeous townhouse in the center of Georgian Bath, on an original quiet, quirky street with all you could need for your luxurious stay. The townhouse is located just off the prestigious Queen Square and literally two minutes walk to the center of Bath's main shopping areas, and also just a few minutes walk to many of Bath's major attractions. This house is surrounded by the city's most featured architecture such as Bath Abbey, the Roman Bath, the Circus, Jane Austen Museum. Everything in this house is thoughtfully considered to pamper your taste for luxury.

Our wonderful, homely Georgian townhouse is in the center of Bath, on an original quiet cobbled street with all you could need for your stay. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and on top of that a quirky petite rooftop garden. It offers a stunning view of Queen Square and simply the place of your dreams. It is less than a 5-minute walk to everything you could imagine visiting in Bath. This warm, interior-designed family house is surrounded by Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths, Pulteney Bridge, the Thermae Bath Spa, shops galore & all that traditional yet modern Bath has to offer. With luxurious beds & cozy living areas this is a perfect house for groups wanting to be together, and catch up with friends or family.

This luxurious property allows you to enjoy an evening on the rooftop garden or in the cozy lounge. Three bathrooms will ensure you won’t queue to use them and you can simply relax and not rush into anything during your holiday.

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped and has the old Georgian window shutters that simply magnify your experience with the property. In the living room, there are comfy sofas & plenty of seating, and not that you will have much time for TV with all that Bath has to keep you entertained but there is Freeview TV for Films or a TV Series.

In a building that is over 250 years old, yet renovated to modern standards in recent years, the house has retained its original features such as wooden paneling shutters in the lounge. The rooms are beautifully light and thoroughly considered, with interior design elements throughout.

All the beds are new and luxurious and reportedly, incredibly comfortable.

The kitchen has all you need for even keen chefs!

Guest access

Check-in is hassle-free as you can let yourself in with a door code which will be sent to you before your arrival. Every guest would be required to sign a rental agreement and provide ID details before getting their arrival details. The guests have access to the entire described space and because of the perfect location access to all the city has to offer is literally on your doorstep!

Other things to note

Please kindly mind the noise in the rooftop garden because the property is located in a residential area.

Overall, we will not likely rent this unit again. I booked as 3 friends (adults) traveling. However, when we arrived we disappointed to find that only 2 bedrooms within unit were unlocked and available. One room was located in the basement and had 2 twin beds and the other room on the top level with a double/full bed. After we arrived, I requested a 3rd room be opened but was told there would be an extra fee, which we promptly declined! This was very frustrating as we expected to each have our own room. If we had known this to be the case we would not have rented but gone the hotel route for our Bath stay. However, the property was very clean and neat. The property does not have air conditioning and therefore, the windows needed to be open. Temperature was not an issue for our July stay but we closed the windows at night because of the street noise, safety (living room windows open near street level), and the sea gulls! The gulls are very loud all through the night!! The basement bedroom with the twin beds has only one small window at ground level. Finally, the parking place for the property is free but approximately 0.3 miles from the unit. It was not an issue for us but if walking with your luggage is a problem this may be an important factor. (The parking location/proximity is not clear in the description on the listing. There is a parking lot located across from the unit but you have to pay daily.

Location is great to tour around Bath. Apartment was lovely. 5 x10 minute walk into city center. Parking is supplied but is a 10-15 minute walk away. We left the car for the 2 days we stayed there. Bath like many towns has very few parking facilities, so as long as you are prepared to walk a lot this apartment worked for us.

Lovely Property in Great Location
There were 4 ladies in our group, so we requested access to all 4 bedroom. Carol was very obliging. The apartment is in a good location. It is in walking distance to many landmarks in Bath, such as The Roman Baths, the Royal Crescent, and The Circus. Central Bath has cobbled streets, so wear your walking shoes! We did not have a vehicle, so walked from the rail station, which is less than a mile away. We arrived in Bath early in the morning, so we stored our luggage for the day at Diana’s Cafe on Manvers Street, just across the street from the rail station. We called an Uber to the rail station on our return trip. The street is quiet - not much traffic, but quite a few pedestrians just passing through. The only noise at night was the seagulls - they are everywhere in Bath, so no fault of the apartment! The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The layout is good. As you walk in, there are a few steps down to the lower level which has 3 bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower. The main floor is a few steps up from the entrance and has another bathroom with a shower and an open lounge area with a kitchen. Upstairs, there is a master bedroom with a third bathroom with a shower. The roof-top garden is also accessed from the top floor. We had one issue with a leaking tap, and Carol was quick to respond and to send someone to fix it. We thoroughly enjoyed Bath and our stay at Chapel Lodge!

The property was the perfect place for our girls weekend away. Enough space for all of us and 3 bathrooms for getting ready (although don't all have showers at the same time otherwise someone is having a cold shower). The best bit - the location.. only a 2 minute walk to the shops, pubs and restaurant. We all said we would visit again either together or with our families.

What a gem within Bath
We stayed here with a group of friends and it was wonderful! Such a bonus having 3 bathrooms for a group of 8. This accomodation is done to a really high standard and I would definitely stay here again. Carol was so helpful when I had a question and very pleased with the stay. This is a beautiful property in a perfect location for a weekend trip to bath. Lovely and clean and well looked after, warm and cosy too! Everything was very easy from start to finish thank you! Also so close to the centre of bath we didn’t have to walk far to bars and restaurants and shops. Host was also very helpful in making recommendations too. Can’t fault it at all!

Property was lovely and very suitable for our group. It was however very noisy at night and we were woken up quite a lot. It is in the city centre so noise is to be expected. It would have been helpful to have a map showing the location of the parking space. We followed the directions and got stuck in bad traffic due to road works, only to find ourselves back immediately underneath the car park where we had left the car for the day before we could check in!

Lovely apartment, great location
We had 7 of us stay for the weekend for a wedding nearby. The location on Princes Street was great and super central. Roof terrace was lovely addition. I couldn’t work out the layout before we went but the living room and a bathroom was on first floor, with double room and en-suite on second, then another double room, single room and twin room plus bathroom on the lower ground floor level. The windows to the front are single glazed so we heard the odd group of people make their way home in the early hours, but the street is generally very quiet as is a narrow one way lane - and it’s what you expect for a city centre location! The kitchen was well equipped, and had milk, tea, green tea and coffee. Having 3 bathrooms was great. The hot water ran cold on one morning from too many of us using them around same time but we staggered it the next day and had no issue. Overall a lovely clean apartment with everything we needed in a great location, would definitely stay again!
