The only cons is the furniture. Once you sit down in chair and on sofa you sink in it. The mattress not so soft.For breakfast the sausage was cold. Our stay was good and room smelled fresh and was cold. Both Receptionists very friendly.

Homewood Suites Baton Rouge

When we arrived, there was a nice smell in the lobby. Ouur registration went smoothly. However, I was informed that there was a $5.00 a day parking charge. I have never had a parking charge at any other Hilton hotels. Due to some health issues, we booked a handicapped accommodation suite. The kitchen had a refrigerator that was leaking water under the vinyl flooring. We reported this to management. They sent three gentlemen to look at the floor and all that happened was one of the gentlemen got some towels to absorb the water. The air conditioner in the room was mounted in the wall. Again, water had leaked so much that the flooring around it was squishy and had rotted the baseboards around it. There other issues in the bathroom. If anyone has difficulty getting in/out of a bathtub, this hotel should be avoided. The shower is not wheelchair accessible. The room was not in good shape and definitely needed some updating. Most Hilton properties are well maintained but not this one. The stay there was very disappointing. I would not recommend staying there if a roll-in shower is needed.

Last part of family trip.

The room was quite big & spacious & quite comfortable. The service was excellent. There were a few issues. The main bedroom locked my wife in till we were able to pry it open. I also found a few bugs in our room & there was mold in the bathroom ceiling. Finally, the fitness center was pretty sparse.
