Très agréable et très calme

Agréable stop, le cottage est très calme. À savoir il est écrit salle de bain privée mais ça n'est pas le cas, elle se partage entre 3 chambres ainsi que les toilettes.

After a long day of driving and site seeing on my Route 66 trip from Santa Fe, NM to Detroit, Michigan, this was a warm, welcoming space to rest and relax. I would highly recommend Rose Cottage.

Nice Soft Spot to Lay your Head

Publié le 2 avr. 2018 sur Expedia
Pour : the owner was super easy going & helpful
Contre : The wall ac/heater unit
Emplacement : not much. few places to eat. Went & saw Big Brutis, that thing was freaking huge, $8 a pop to get in tho
Nice cozy place to sleep, good for a weekend get away. A/C Heater wall unit kicked on and off a lot though during the night, but had pretty decent breakfast. Felt safe sleeping there, soft bed

Excalibur Host in Baxter Springs, KS

Publié le 21 févr. 2018 sur Expedia
Pour : Comfortable and inviting.
Emplacement : Very near Joplin, MO but without the same pricey lodging offered there.
We were caught in an unexpected ice storm while visiting family in nearby Joplin and were "iced in" on our last day's visit, then forced to stay an extra day and night because of road conditions. The B & B offers nice breakfast fare but we were not prepared to purchase groceries and eat in for other meals as we had intended to be with our family. So, for the two days we could not leave the premise, the host brought food to us from her own pantry two doors away and allowed us to use the kitchen to fix our own meals from what she offered. What a host!! This would have never happened had we been accommodated in regular lodging along the interstate in Joplin. She gladly offered us an additional night as we waited out the ice storm. Amenities offered were bird watching (feeders strategically placed for inside observation), board games and cards, a small collection of military literature and memorabilia, a library that offered information about the town of Baxter Springs and surrounding areas as well as current publications by local authors. Radio/stereo with options of listening to a wonderful collection of old albums. Televisions in all bedrooms. We will visit again!

Rose and Relax

Publié le 8 sept. 2017 sur Expedia
This quaint little hide a way is a great place to relax and revive. Especially if you're feeling overwhelmed with things life can bring at you. Rose Cottage is quiet and peaceful. And if you want to get outdoors, there is plenty to see in the area. Jane is very hospitable and available to attend to anything needed at the house. Definitely a thumbs up!
