It was close to their golf course, however I booked a non-smoking room and was told there were none available at check-in. It makes no sense and is unprofessional as a hotel, to take the money and reservation for a room, then let someone else later, also book that room. I was also charged a resort fee after check out (that I would've assumed was included in the initial reservation payment) that I was unaware of until a notification of the payment on my phone walking to my car. I was then called and asked if I was still on property because my payment was declined. It was in fact not declined, I had just gotten the notification that it was charged but was asked to come back to the front desk to settle up. I was playing at their golf course and needed to be there for a tee time but walked back to settle the issue when I was called again and told it was their mistake and it did in fact go through. I was not however given an explanation of why I was charged an additional fee upon check out or why they sold the non-smoking room I initially booked. It was my first and last time at the resort because there are many better establishments on the Gulf Coast that I have stayed at and never had these type issues.

My room smelled like an ashtray and the bathroom smelled like sulfur. It was a “low rate” room so I didn’t mention it to the front desk, I was only there for 1 night

Property was nice the employees were very nice and helpful rooms were clean did not have any problems.
