The view of Chimney Rock at night was incredible, and as we are from EST, we were up early to see the sunrise, which was absolutely beautiful! Scott's Bluff is an easy drive from this place, and is well worth seeing. The home was very clean and comfortable, and we wished that we had more time to spend in the area. Thank-you for your hospitality!

Pioneer Days Gem
Publié le 9 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe chose this location for our weekend at Pioneer Days because of its proximity to Bayard and the fact that is was less expensive than hotels in Scottsbluff. It was absolutely perfect! The house is so cute, with tin ceilings in the bedrooms. The shower is huge! And the views are spectacular. My daughter and I are already talking about our next trip back to the Panhandle and staying here again. Definitely recommend!

We were older traveling friends. I had a small issue with the internet (because I wasn't doing it correctly) and Clay was there in a heartbeat to help us. The view of chimney rock is fantastic at night. The house is centrally located to all the attractions in the area and in an incredibly quiet and peaceful area. Access to the house was very easy. It was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the remodeled bathroom is nicely done. I love the showerheads!! We didn't use the firepit/grill but Clay offered to bring us free firewood if we wanted. If you want a quiet restful place to stay before starting a day of viewing the monuments and museums, this is the place. I would definitely recommend this house to everyone.

Nice location and affordable, but needs work
Publié le 15 juill. 2024 sur HomeAway"Stunning view of Chimney Rock" is an old farmhouse located on a farm outside of Bayard, NE, with the new house next door. Beautiful views of Chimney Rock and the nearby farmland. Several co-workers and I booked it for a short work trip in the area, and it was an affordable solution to our lodging needs.
Pros:
- Great and prompt communication from the host. Some soap etc was missing from the bathroom, and he quickly dropped some off
- Easy check-in/out process
- Great views, and peaceful location
- Nice deck and firepit out back
- Affordable cost
Unfortunately, I have to point out a few cons as well:
- The window in one of the bedrooms was broken. The top frame of the bottom panel of the window was completely missing, leaving a half inch gap to the outside across the entire window. We had to stuff a towel in there to keep out the heat and bugs. Additionally, the window shades were in bad shape. This is a big enough issue it should have been fixed, or at least disclosed prior to our stay.
- Only one wall unit AC in the house. Not the end of the world, but the bedrooms do get a bit warm. This could be improved by putting a couple fans in the house probably.
Overall, this house met our needs, but has some issues that should be addressed. We weren't expecting anything fancy, but a completely broken window should be addressed.

Farm adjacent rental
