Lack of heat
Publié le 17 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayRoom was cold. There is a gas fireplace in room (on of the reasons we booked the room) but a sign saying it was turned off. When we asked the manager he said there was a crack in the chimney so could not use it. The heat source was a unit installed above the window. It would heat to 64 and then shut off no matter what it was set at. We contacted manager and he brought over a portable heater which would get the room up to 64. He was very rude and left in a huff slamming the door. Never checked back again.

Thank you for your stay at Ships Quarters "Jennie E". I am sorry it was cold and rainy in Bayfield Friday, Saturday and Sunday October 14,15,& 15th.
You first texted about a fire place that is not in any description both on VRBO and other sites. The Fire place has a sign that says it is not working.
You than had a problem with the off peak heat pump quiet wall heater. As explained when you called that it does take an hour to have it raise up to 68 degrees, which I beleive you said you had set at74 degrees. I called you back also 1 hour later and you said it was heating up and you were going out to dinner. About an hour later you called and said it was still cold. I ran over within 10 minutes and brought along a new liquid electric heater. Upon arrival it was very hot. You said that you could not hear anything and I showed you how very hot air was blowing out on high speed of the quiet wall unit. I than plugged in the electric liquid heater and set at 70.
Before I left I told you just tp call if you have any further service, was not rude and did not slam the door.
Again, I am sorry it was a cold and rainy weekend in Bayfield. That's enough to anyone down and I understand.

Publié le 17 sept. 2022 sur HomeAwayBig comfy bed in main room. Good TV. Small microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Be sure to bring cups, knife, spoon, bowls etc. the only thing provided was a corkscrew and coffee packets. Bathroom is big, shower is small, jacuzzi tub is fairly big.
This house (ships quarters) has four units. We stayed on the ground floor. It was not too noisy inside or out. There are other locations one block closer to the lake that have porches that face the lake that I wish we would have chosen instead. But, all in all, it was an ok value.
