Great cabin by the lake

Owner called the first night to give some instructions. That was nice.
Just some hints for future renters. Understand there is no bedroom on the main floor. No bathroom in the upstairs where there is a bedroom. The mechanical for the cooling, etc. are kind of loud for light sleepers. There is really no way to walk to the lake from the cabin. If you want to fish or just do anything around the lake you need to pay a daily or weekly fee per vehicle. These are not big issues but maybe things people would like to be aware of. Thanks for sharing your great cabin!

Simply amazing!

The cute little details made it rustic but the cabin still has all the amenities. The views are amazing and it’s close to shops and restaurants. We will for sure return in the summer for a longer staycation!!

The views were incredible and the living space was beautiful— the wood, stone, and lush carpet throughout the place gave a true, nostalgic cabin feel. The architecture and cool light fixtures were just modern & unique enough to separate this cabin from the rest and elevate it a next level stay. Heated bathroom floor was a great bonus!! The hosts went above and beyond to be welcoming and accommodating, and everything we could’ve wanted or needed was right at our fingertips. I wish I could give far more than 5 stars.

Needs updated
Publié le 22 sept. 2021 sur HomeAwayThe living area needs updated. Old carpet in living room. The downstairs bathroom is totally remodeled and nice but the main level is from the 70s. Wi-fi is terrible and you can barely see the lake. It was clean, but we were a little disappointed for the price. We also didn’t realize it was so far from Durango.

We provide photos, a virtual tour, a unit description, and a list of available amenities so that future guests know exactly what they will be seeing upon arrival. The owners are continually updating the cabin. The appliances, technology, and the downstairs bathroom has been renovated. We have not had complaints about the WIFI, we will review and ensure it is working well. The cabin is in great shape and welcoming for guests. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon.

Nice place but there are sanitary issues
Publié le 2 nov. 2020 sur HomeAwayThere were rats and mice. Every night the rats nice would some out of the walls. It was not just a mouse in a house in the mountains. There is a serious rodent issue. Fresh poop every morning. Other than that nice place.

We are happy to report that during an exterminator visit, a squirrel was removed from the home which likely entered inside while a door was open. We hope for another chance to host you in the future!

Lake house

The downstairs bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable to sleep on in the 3 nights we were there we did not get a good night sleep tossing and turning trying to get comfortable
There is no easy way to excess easily access the lake from the house best to drive to the boat dock
The cleaning person was still there cleaning when we arrived
But all in all it was a nice stay
