Disappointed
Posted Sep. 30, 2024 on HomeAwayWe arrived 2 hours later than our 4pm check-in time and walked in to a house that was not clean, dirty linens still on the beds, dirty towels on the floor, and dishes on the counters. We contacted the local host who had to scurry to find someone to clean. We had been on the road all day and had to leave the house for another 3 hours so they could get the laundry and cleaning done. There were holes in the walls, and the furniture in the living room was very old and uncomfortable, just needs to be replaced. The property is very dark and there is no outside lighting on the sidewalk. Must leave the porch light on all the time so there is light in the evening when you get back from hiking. Additionally, returned to the home after being out all day to a "water disconnect notice" hanging on the door.

This was an unfortunate miscommunication on our end, and I understand how frustrating it must have been after a long day of travel. As mentioned, we did our best to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and covered your first night to compensate for the disruption. Regarding the furniture and lighting, we appreciate your feedback. Our home is in a natural, forested setting, which can feel darker at night, and we recommend keeping the porch light on for safety. While the furniture is well-loved, we will certainly take your suggestions into account as we continue to make improvements. The water disconnect notice was due to an administrative error with the neighborhood’s payment system, and that issue has since been resolved. We strive to ensure our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we appreciate your input as it helps us improve the experience for future guests. Thank you again for your understanding.

Getting my daughter off to college
Posted Sep. 4, 2024 on HomeAwayThis short stay was to allow me and my family to get my daughter settled in to third year in college at Ft. Lewis. It's always nice to stay in place where you can enjoy the nice scenery and outdoors. This was a lovely location and home. My adult children enjoyed the pool table and separated bedroom from the others. We all enjoyed our time at the home. It was a quiet neighborhood which we enjoyed. The weather was amazing also. We also enjoyed seeing all the animals. This was a beautiful home with everything we needed.

Posted Aug. 9, 2024 on HomeAwayAbsolutely loved this home! My adult kids and I were so comfortable in your lovely home. So enjoyed playing pool and sitting on the deck. We cooked several meals in and found the cooking supplies to be above and beyond what we typically see. I fell in love with Durango so hope to be back again soon and would definitely stay here again. The beds were so comfortable too.

The Lazy Bear
Posted Jun. 13, 2024 on HomeAwayWhere to start, while we were traveling to the property, I received a message saying the rental was ready for check in way before or slotted check in time. As this was a 12 hour drive, an unsolicited early check in was a huge WELCOME HOME! for our family as we were an hour or 2 ahead of schedule. Upon arrival the property was clean and well kept, instructions for gaining access were clear and straightforward. The property is excellent for those wishing to get out into nature while still being convenient to urban necessity. Beds were comfortable, linens clean and fresh, they even took the time to make a flower for the TP roll. The pool table, basketball goal, foosball, darts, and the classic arcade were hits with all of us and we're used to make memories that will last. I cannot recommend this property enough, and 10/10 would stay here again!
