Publié le 1 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis property is lovely with a great view of Lake Superior. Kitchen & living areas are very nice. The deck is large & great to view the lake. Gas grill worked extremely well & was very clean. We'll be back in a few months.

Would not advertise accommodations for 4, since one bedroom, one bed, although bed in bedroom was very comfortable. Conveniently located although need to drive to anything. Internet did not work and could have used more towels.

Serenity at Salmo Retreat

I loved getting up early, making myself a cup of the great coffee provided and sitting on the deck and watching the sunrise over Lake Superior. We felt very blessed to have found this place and will recommend to our friends.

Perfect Location and View

Perfect location as you are close to everything but still feel like you are alone in the woods. Great view of Lake Superior. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area!

Great place overlooking Lake Superior
Publié le 7 sept. 2022 sur HomeAwayMy wife and I spent 5 days at the property. It is 3.5 miles to the docks in downtown Bayfield, so around 5 minutes drive. The property has good views due East over Lake Superior and there is a climb down to the water (with a guide rope to help). The kitchen was excellent - both equipment and supplies, The living room is spacious, comfortable and has great views. We did a number of activities we really enjoyed while there - from kayaking to the sea caves north of Meyers Beach to hiking, to moped rides on Madeline Island, to walking on Bayview Beach. We also bought fresh fish a couple of times from Hoops Market and cooked it in the kitchen. It was from Lake Superior to the kitchen the same day and tasted great - whitefish and lake trout.
