Gorgeous Retreat
Publié le 9 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayPerfect getaway for the weekend. Place was clean and all necessities were provided. Everything was clearly labeled on where items were located. Outdoor firepit area would have been a bonus. It is understandable on why it is not allowed due to being located in community setting.

As we do have a firepit as I was miffed he didn't see it. I apparently forgot to change our info that the firepit can be used. I am so sorry that I hadn't updated the info that talked about the firepit. It has been opened up for use again. They had closed it due to smoke coming into an owners home. The association then voted to open it back up again as so many of us like having fires. The owner now closes his window when a fire is going. It is a beautiful fire pit area, and I also have 6 chairs in a bag in our main floor bedroom for taking over there to sit on. Or too we like to take our chairs in a bag over to Black Beach to sit by the lake for a campfire. There is a pail in the front hall closet to take to fill with lake water to put out the campfire at Black Beach. You want to make sure it is doused well as people who make campfires are liable if they start a forest fire. This all said right now there is a burning ban in Lake County as it is too dry and the high winds in the fall spread fires quickly. When there is a burning ban, our fire pit will have a pad lock on the fire pit cover so then you cannot have a campfire.

Publié le 25 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful time (2 retired couples). We have stayed at this rental several times over the years. Barb and her husband Bob take care of everything so well. All you need to do is arrive with your clothes and any food items that you want. This unit is very comfortable and the views are beautiful. Barb is so helpful if you have any questions. And she always responds in a positive, timely manner. We know we will stay here again! Thank you Barb and Bob!

North Shore Escape

We also enjoyed the stars in the night sky, including a shooting star. The home is clean, comfortable, very well stocked and Barb's communication to ensure you have all the details needed for a great stay surpassed any other vacation rental we have stayed in.
The property is located nearby many North Shore attractions and made getting around very easy.
We enjoyed the deck and listening to the water when we weren't out hiking and taking in the sights.
We highly recommend this property if you are looking for a home away from home in the North Shores.

Girl’s weekend!

They had everything absolutely beautiful, cozy, organized and easy to use! The views were absolutely stunning and breathtaking, especially with coffee on the deck at sunrise! The location is perfect-so close to so many things. Beaches are amazing! It was great to have a sauna after the beach in the pool house. We (best friends for 35 years) visit the north shore every summer and this is hands down the best place we have ever stayed! We will be back every year for sure!! Thank you for the best visit ever!!

Perfect location.
Publié le 3 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed at barbs place at beaver bay and it was perfect for our family. We have 3 kids ages 7-11 and the rooms were excellent. It was great having a kitchen to cook some of our meals and the view from the deck was a beautiful background! We will def tell our friends and families about this place and will hopefully stay again if we can.

5 Stars plus a lovely home with fantastic, responsive communication with the owners
The artwork and overall style compliment the north shore vibe.
Very high ceilings, the kitchen is very complete and the powered recliners withver nice.
Highly recommended!

North Shore Beauty
Publié le 9 août 2024 sur HomeAwayOur family rented a lovely three BR/three BA townhome cottage in the Windsong Cottages community along the shores of Lake Superior in Beaver Bay, MN. The hosts were outstanding and attentive. The residence was extremely clean and well-equipped for our stay. The unit was about $500 less than a similar unit at a nearby resort. Grateful for this option and will recommend the property to friends and family.

Beaver Bay Beauty

Check was so easy and Barb was wonderful to communicate with before and during our stay. We were two empty nester couples and the set up of the home suited us perfectly. Beautiful time.
