Corning Wineglass Half weekend getaway
Posted Oct. 6, 2024 on HomeAwayQuiet and relaxing. Perfect spot for what we needed. Midway between Corning.and Watkins Glen. Both wonderful to visit for different reasons, and basically all we had time for this visit. Kelly was wonderful to work with, even accommodating a late departure so that we could shower after the race before our drive back to PA. Thanks for sharing your cozy space.

Awesome Girls Weekend!
Posted Oct. 19, 2023 on HomeAwayBest Stay Ever!!! Spent 2 nights for our girls weekend trip (3 ladies over 50). The cabin is clean, comfortable, with lots of little extras that made for a great experience.
We loved the fire pit and appreciate the ingredients Kelly provided us to make smores. Fire wood was available on the back porch for only $5 so we didnt have to search for wood or try to buy it somewhere else. Additionally, Kelly provides a lighter and fire starter bricks to get the fire going. All of this was extremely convenient and much appreciated! We had a great time relaxing by the fire and drinking wine after a long day out.
The livingroom has 3 comfy oversized chairs and a sofa, perfect for kicking back and relaxing. We loved that there was a firestick already installed on the TV allowing us to sign into our Netflix and watch movies. There is also a dvd player with a great selection of adult and kid movies to watch, along with a deck of cards and games to play.
Beds were all super comfy, too, with 3 nice sized bedrooms. We loved having a Keurig with a selection of K Cups to choose from.
Kelly and Duane were punctual with responding to our questions and just incredibly kind.
Our stay at Ayers Acres exceeded our expectations! Everything was perfect! Most of all, though, we felt right at home.
Such a great experience! Book this place! You wont regret it!

Dry place for rainy weekend
Posted Oct. 9, 2023 on HomeAwayWe had a rainy weekend so it was nice to be in a cozy, dry place. Had a beautiful walk at Watkins Glen. I loved the decor in what I call the red room. House has thoughtful decor. Also liked French press coffee maker.

Wood's Edge - You'll love it!
Posted Sep. 1, 2023 on HomeAwayThe owners of Wood's Edge were in contact quickly after I booked, and were very responsive the whole time we were there. Not that we needed much because Wood's Edge provides everything you could possibly need for a quick trip like we did, or a two week stay! Very clean, decorated very nicely, made us feel like we were home. We used the fire pit twice, which was a highlight for us. The rural area is very quiet but not far from the things we wanted to do, which suited us just fine. I look forward to going again next year, but this time we'll stay for a week or more - so much to do in the Finger Lakes region!
