Fantastic Location, Wonderful Hosts - One of the best spots on the Island

The house is very clean and is exceptionally well appointed. It has everything you need for a wonderful stay and everything is easy to find. The hosts are quick to respond and dedicated to making sure your stay is the very best. It is one of the best VRBO properties I have ever stayed in.

Quiet piece of island
Publié le 22 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was old and needs bug bombed. The upstairs bedroom bed was not at all level - it was like sleeping at a decline with your feet higher than your head. Going to pass on this one next year

Thank you for your comments. Sheri and I appreciate your candor and feedback. We apologize that the cottage did not meet your standards of excellence. Although we were a bit puzzled about the house being “old”. The interior of the cottage has been completely renovated within the last three years. The kitchen and appliances, living room, and the entire 2nd floor (including the upstairs bathroom) all are new.
Additionally, all windows in the house were replaced with custom windows. We wanted our guests to continue to view the harbor and the million-dollar Beaver Island sunsets from our living room.
Lastly, Sheri and I have earned “Premier Host” status by VRBO. A premier host is a designated owner who consistently provides exceptional guest experiences. The Vrbo Premier Host program is by invite-only. We have achieved an average review rating (as defined by VRBO and our guests) of 4.9 out of 5.0.
We apologize that the cottage did not meet your expectations.

Great location near the ferry and historic district

Beautiful view of the harbor and walking distance from restaurants, cafes, and even a brewery as well as historic places to visit. Enough sleeping space for 5 adults with a kitchen well stocked for cooking and serving meals.

Convenient Location

The view was spectacular.

Island harbor

On BI, 2024
Publié le 27 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property is very well maintained and the up-graded first floor (super kitchen) is very comfortable. We enjoyed walking to the village shops and front porch and back deck were utilized with comfort. A view of the harbor and the traffic on the bay was interesting. Only drawback was lack of access to the shoreline. Our regular stays at The Rest of our Lives had a beach.

Beaver trip 2024
Publié le 19 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a great time and were very impressed with the owner’s communication. The ferry had last minute issues but Keith texted me even before BIBCO called. They were able to get the house ready 4 hours before we had planned on arriving! The view is the best and we lived the home! Hope to come bsck

Another great stay

Beautiful view of the harbor, amazing location in town within walking/biking distance to the grocery store, ferry, shops, beach, historical sites/museums, trails, and more. Nice updates to the house since our last stay. Hosts are very responsive to any questions. It’s a great, cozy, clean place to stay, with amenities provided so we had to bring very little other than clothes and beach towels (and we chose to bring many of our groceries). Appreciate that everything else is provided with the house. Can’t wait to go back!
