Close to everything !

Definitely ski-out as we just had to walk 40-50 feet to clip into our skis and slide down a small strip between two condos to the Perfection ski run. Ski-in was only slightly more challenging as we found the best way to "get home" was to use the same condo gap and just walk up the hill (also about 50-feet) to the parking lot of our condo. Condo was very nice (we didn't use the hot tub) with plenty of space for the two of us. Great to have the washer dryer in the unit. Nice to have a lockable ski locker just outside the unit to leave our snow covered skis in. Loved the indoor parking as we didn't need to scrape our car windows. You can pull your car right up the door to unload your gear. Communication with the host was terrific and very prompt.

Worst VRBO ever. Filthy. Full of pet hair.
Publié le 3 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe come to Big White all the time and always stay in a VRBO. This place was full of animal hair and stinks bad like animals. After washing one load of laundry, my daughter had the hair in her clothes and had to get off the slopes because it was bothering her. Drying with a towel left me with dog hair in my body. Not only that, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and there were bugs on the wall I had to kill the first day we got there. The pillows smelled like nobody ever replaced them and that nobody bathed or dogs were sleeping in the bed. The sheets (threadbare and full of pills) and towels desperately needed to be replaced and the bed was the most uncomfortable place I had ever slept. The pull out couch was so old that the springs were poking through the mattress. At no time were we told that a random guy would come by to check the hot tub. There was a junky pantry that was full of various stuff that should not be in a vrbo and probably should have been locked. Everywhere you looked were things “stored”. The lock was obviously not working well when I first opened it and when I called the number I was first told that it gives that person trouble as well….if you knew it was a problem, then replace it. And, to make matters worse, the advertised price on the vrbo changed suddenly and I only caught it when I realized the ridiculous price I was charged to stay here. I called vrbo, and they verified that the owner charged different prices for different days. Never disclosed

Hi Diane, We were surprised to read this after having conversations with you during your stay where you gave us no indication you were unhappy. You only complained about the weather. I will try to clear up the inaccuracies of your review.
With regards to the pet hair, we welcome pets and this was formally shared with you twice. Our last pet stay was early in the season and our guests in between that and you gave us a 5 star review. Our cleaners take pictures and there was no pet hair. When asked for you to provide photos, you were unable to provide any and refused.
Though we are ok if guests need something from our 'junky' pantry, it is not for guests. That is for the cleaner and where we store gifts for guests, extra pots and pans and cleaning supplies. We don't lock because we have always been met with appreciative and respectful guests.
The lock was working. You were not using it correctly and that is what we meant by "Other people have issues with it," Once we explained how to use it correctly, you acknowledged that it worked. Despite having a working lock, we still had the locksmith come over and that was resolved within 30 min. He told us that the lock worked fine but we would likely need to replace in the summer. We took advantage that he was at the unit already and decided to replace it then.
The sheets and towels were purchased in August 2023 so only 3 months old. Again, you were unable to provide photos when asked.
To summarize, you did not communicate your disappointment throughout your stay. Had you done so, we would of done everything in our power to make your stay more enjoyable. You were either being dishonest when you told us everything was great or dishonest with this review. You only sent us a few pictures,,,some tiny crumbs in cutlery drawer and a shelf in our kitchen that was time stamped on the last day of your stay and close to check out. I can assure you that our amazing cleaners have cleaned this for the next guest, as they did for you. Your photos show a stronger likelihood that it was your mess after 4 days based on when you took the photos. There was one more picture that we did not recognize so cannot speak to.
We have been hosts for several years and pride ourselves in our regular 5 star ratings across different platforms. It is our hope that on your next stay. where ever it might be, that you communicate with your host promptly and honestly. I know I speak for all hosts that we would rather work to fix a problem right away so you can enjoy your stay, rather than respond to an insulting review that is met with inaccuracies and lack of evidence.

Summer Stay

The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our short stay. Having a few discs available to play the disc golf course that's about a 2 minute walk away was a nice bonus, and the hot tub at the end of long active days felt great.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was off-season, and so, was very quiet. Still, there were some nice restaurants still available, and the store is a gem. The fireplace glass could use a little cleaning, but other than that the condo was cute, clean, and very comfortable. The hot tub was a definite bonus.

Big White
Publié le 17 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayGreat apartment for two with plenty of room. Very convenient to marketplace and the hot tub was fabulous after a day on the slopes. The welcome bottle of wine was a lovely touch, however, it was a pity that it had already been opened and some consumed, so we gave that a miss. Hopefully the rental managers will have addressed this for future guests.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and it’s perfect for couple looking to explore Big White. It is right across the street from the town center so very convenient for all your needs.
Communication was easy and reply were quick.

Publié le 24 févr. 2022 sur HomeAwayHard to have a bad time at Big White! Little hiccup with the app upon arrival, but owners were super responsive and everything was smooth. Hot tub was perfect after a long day of skiing.

I’m not sure what’s going on with the app, but I will begin to send welcome package in a text to avoid this issue.
I completely agree- I always have a great time at Big White.
