Justin was very responsive and helpful. They left a gift basket with lots of yummy treats for us. The house is very cozy and just about anything you may need is there. It was extremely cold the days we were there and the ground was snow covered so we didn't get a chance to spend time outside. You really need to have the wood stove running to get adequate heat. It doesn't warm up as much as we are comfortable with when relying on the heat alone. It's understandable because the ceilings are so high and pretty much open in the living area. There is a nice little restaurant within walking distance. It's difficult to be enthusiastic because we had what I would consider a tragedy while there, nothing related to the house. We booked the trip to give our 16 year old dog a vacation from home. She had never been on vacation with us. We woke around 2 am to find her in distress. We rushed out to get her to an emergency vet where we found out her stomach had flipped. With her age and only fair chances of a successful surgery, we had to have her put down. We were there with our daughter, her fiance, and our granddaughter. Knowing our Nala got to spend her last day surrounded by people who love her and getting lots of affection helps ease the pain. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property and think it would be perfect for a weekend with nice weather. We're sorry we didn't get a chance leave a message in the binder that was full of great reviews.

The host was great. The cabin is awesome, and it is a great setting with the sherwood shop up the street, and the lake and wood stove. Really quiet and relaxing. The only thing is the beds are, for the most part, not comfortable. Bring extra pillows.

Three of us stayed for a girls’s weekend in January. We had a wonderful time! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Lots of wood provided for the wood stove. Plenty of board games for enjoyment. Our only complaint is the downstairs futon mattress. It was so uncomfortable I slept on the couch. It needs to be replaced. Thank you so much for a wonderful time.

Amazing house . Only stayed for a weekend but was very impressed how clean comfortable this place was. Beautiful yard with great fire pit . Nice doc to sit on. We actually went out on the kayak which was amazing. Did a lot of walking as well. Will definitely be back thank you Justin.

Justin’s home is lovely situated on a pond. The trees were beautiful in their fall colors. We did have some issues with the tv. The satellite was broken. Justin got service in the second day of our visit but it was lucky we were home as we didn’t know when they were arriving. It did work out and the tv was back in order the second day. We had a restful few days at the home.

A very nice spot. Clean and tidy. Unfortunately we were here for 5 days and the direct TV was out and none of the 4 tvs are set up for streaming. We used our laptop per owners advice we only had one with us that would fit an hdmi so it was a pain, but the owner didnt seem to think it was important. That was disappointing. Otherwise a great stay, with less screen time, so a win!

A very nice and relaxing week...easy check in and communication with the owner was easy too. The screened in porch is beautiful w/views of the lake and sounds of the birds. The kitchen is efficient,well stocked, and updated with very nice pots and pans ( an important asset to me). I suggest the owner update the photos for the listing because overall it is much nicer than the current listing photos...New stove, new microwave, updated deck, railings, stairs and dock. yes, it was quiet and peaceful.

Lovely house with great access to the water. It was very clean. Location was peaceful and quiet, but not too far from grocery stores, etc. Not really ideal for anyone with small dogs (like me), because they don't want pets on the furniture and the fence has large gaps. Otherwise, it was wonderful.

Lake House Getaway with Access to Berkshire Highlights

This property provides direct access to a lovely lake for kayaking and swimming. It is also a terrific location for Berkshire musts such as Jacob's Pillow and Tanglewood. The owner is quickly responsive to questions and directions for check in were easy to follow. The house has strong WiFi for any work days you have while traveling. Highly recommend and look forward to staying there again in the future!

Peaceful Spot

We had a wonderful week in the Berkshires. This house was located at a quiet end of the lake and was a great place to return home to in the evening. It looked like the owner had made several improvements to the house, with a few more still left to do. The communication was excellent during the entire stay.

Comfortable home with amazing view. Enjoyed taking a walk around the lake (1 hour approx). Had an amazing dinner at Dream Away lodge which is 15 minutes away.

Charming lake cabin

Cozy winter getaway

This was a cozy tucked away location that seemed far away from everything which was exactly what we wanted. The host was extremely communicative before and during the stay. The house had fresh linens and towels as well as basic cleaning supplies. It was cozy for a wintery weekend in. We enjoyed snowshoeing on the frozen lake! Pet-friendly was a huge plus!
