I’m sorry that despite our best efforts you were not totally happy with the Villa. The towels are quality Sheridan and not very old. Mattresses are a very personal thing and we have had countless guests say how comfortable it is, again it isn’t very old.

Great location! Beautiful Villa

A shame as a few things let our stay down:
1. A fan on the woodheater would have made a huge difference to the villa warming up past the lounge area. We felt bad having to use some much wood to keep us warm.
2. The walls on the bathroom do not go to the ceiling so there is a privacy issue when using the toilet (noises and smells).
3. The bathroom did not warm up with the small heater provided.
4. A small toaster oven would have been appreciated as an alternative to the microwave for warming up/cooking.
5. The reverse cycle seems to have an issue with the thermostat as we had to set it to a high temperature to keep it working when we weren't using the woodfire.
6. The mattress was noisy. Everytime someone turned over in bed, the other person was woken up.
7. The couch is not practical for sitting on for any length of time - we found it uncomfortable.

Perfect getaway
Publié le 14 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe arrived to find our villa was warm & cosy but couldn't resist lighting the wood fire. The Villa had everything we needed. We enjoyed a very relaxing getaway. The bed was so comfy it was difficult to get up and going each day to explore Beechworth and its surroundings.

Nice But Not Functional
Publié le 5 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe accommodation looked lovely, was comfortable and in a reasonable location with a short walk to the city centre.
Unfortunately, the functionality was not great:
- The wood heater was without a fan, which required us to also use the reverse cycle heater.
- The kitchen did not have the capacity to properly heat a pie from the Beechworth Bakery
- The wall surrounding the bathroom was not to the ceiling, and more of a partition, so you could hear sounds that are preferred to be kept more private
- The bathroom mirror was position in an unusable location
