Management needs to improve the cleanliness

there is an odour of bats & pigeons in the corridors, it definitely needs a rehaul in terms of maintenance & proper upkeep & cleanliness. I would understand that it is difficult, however there is great potential in such a stunning property of amazing historic value, only if the management took it seriously. There was a rat in the a air conditioning unit - video attached (Room 124)

This property very bad condition its 170 km from udiapur and 70 km from chitorgarh smell sewer in rooms

Fun to stay at a palace on a lake

Pros: Great palace setting. Staff friendly and very helpful. Enjoy the ambiance of a palace with a good book!
Cons: Someone, a control manager, needs to check each room weekly for item that need updating or repaired - and follow through with the maintenance.
Location: Remote, quiet. Needs a how to get here section on the website.
Worth staying 2 nights. relax, swim in the pool at sunset, good reasonable food cooked to your liking. Staff friendly and very helpful.
Please keep it up -It is too beautiful a property to see it crumble. Also the junk on the roof needs clearing into one spot or build a shed to contain it. Such a lovely walk up there but too much clutter and gas bottles, etc. Also move some of the thousands of pigeons away.

Nice hotel nut in the middle of nowhere.

Pros: I liked the secluded remote location of this hotel in middle of an artificial lake.
Cons: Bed side lamp, more choice of food, out door activities, Stay arrangement for drivers, a running track on the terrace, attractive pricing for food.
Location: There is nothing to do nearby. Chittorgarh fort like all indian monuments is crowded and filthy.
Happy but disappointed... As such the hotel is in a remote village; and it was disappointing to know that the hotel does not offer accommodation for drivers..The deal I got was bit overpriced for the facilities offered.The advertised facilities of horse riding, archery, nature trail trekking etc were not seen. The rooms are clean; the food is good; BUT the palace like comforts that one may expect is missing. Food is expensive. The rooms lacked most basic facility like a bed side lamp for reading Or a large TV screen.
The staff are very pleasing and extended their best efforts to make stay comfortable.

Moderate quality hotel an hour from a great fort.
Posted Dec. 12, 2016 on HotelsThere are very few options for good hotels around Fort Chittorgarh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lake Nahargargh Palace barely met the minimums. Equivalent to a 2* or 3* property in the US.

I dream of a place, that is not jammed with crowds
Posted Feb. 13, 2016 on HotelsThe room was welmaintained and looked after.. the whole place and experience is a dream. Could easily stay here for a week.. so relaxing and quiet place.
No stalls or hackers or beggers towards this castle.. it is so unlike any other lake palace in india!

Nice getaway

No internet, No phone, Hot water only by request,

1) Bed
2) Telephone
3) Internet
4) Hot Water
5) Hot (or at least warm) food.
MORE THAN HALF OF THESE SERVICES WERE NOT PROVIDED!
2) Telephone to and from front desk (NOT WORKING).
3) Internet (NOT WORKING)
4) Hot water (NOT SUPPLIED EXCEPT BY WALKING TWO MINUTES TO FRONT DESK, MAKING SPECIAL REQUEST, AND THEN WAITING FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES
5) Food was not hot AND WAS BARELY WARM, OR EDIBLE.
6) Pigeon nuisance in and around room (LOSS OF SLEEP BECAUSE OF PIGEON NOISE). Pigeons fly in the face of guests. THEY FEED PIGEONS AND ATTRACT THEM? Is this a hotel – or a zoo?
MOREOVER, THESE ARE RECURRENT PROBLEMS THAT ARE NOT FIXED. THE REAL HOTEL MANAGEMENT WITH DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY ONLY VISITS ONCE A WEEK FOR HALF A DAY.
Since so many basic services are not provided, I conclude that the four-star price of the hotel, despite is beautiful setting, is unjustified. The local hotel manager and staff are very nice, polite persons. However, It appears that the organization’s “remote-control” management is not working to provide basic services at the hotel property level.
