Avis Apartament Sol Naixent II, Sa Riera, Begur, Costa Brava

We really enjoyed it

We had a very nice stay in Sa Riera. We really liked how the property was walking distance from the beach, but the area wasn't too busy. Overall we are happy, but wanted to caution those booking through VRBO that the process was strange. Mainly we were asked to pay through a third party platform which is in fact the property management company, Immobiliara Comangau. It was not at all clear on the VRBO listing that it worked that way. Additionally there were some miscommunications on a late check-in as to how to enter the unit when we arrived quite late. Finally, the power was completely off when we arrived at the unit, so we had to find the circuit board and turn on the breaker. It was all a bit strange!

The location of the appartement is very good. The photos of the appartment are better than the reallity. The appartment was clean, except from the pillows they where very very dirty! We saw that when we removed the blankets when we returned home. On the terras there where 2 chairs damaged.1 chair you cannot sit on. First there were no lids on the pans, but when we called the office we got new pans with lids. One sleeping room is downstairs and there it is a very humid smell. Also in the wardrobes. The bathroom is ok, but every time when you take a shower the whole bathroom is wet. Sitting on the toilet is very small. There is also another sleeping room upstairs (entresol with glass around it). It looks very nice, butr you cannot sleep ther in summer. We booked the appartment because we are with 3 persons and I needed 2 bedrooms. Unfortunalally you cannot sleep there in the summer upstairs because it is very hot and the airco in the livingroom cannot cool the sleeping room So I slept the whole holiday at the ground.... When I said this to the office they said that in the advert they mentioned that there is airconditioning, but they donnot specify that it is in every room. This is unbelievable and you expect that when you book an appartment with airco that the rooms will be cooled. So we were dissapointed

The location has brief walk to the beach with access to a local grocery store and restaurants. The check-in process was easy. The location does have AC which we appreciated in the the August heat. Recommend this place!
