Horrible, cauchemar
Publié le 7 janv. 2018 sur ExpediaAucune indication de l hotel malgre arrivee dans les delais, c est seulement 2h45 apres notre arrivee, que le proprietaire trouve a la plage grace a une residente nous conduit a l hotel. Avant deux residents ont telephone a l hotel en vain pour trouver l itinéraire. L hotel
est à plus de 2km sur un chemin tres dangereux, traversant des proprietes.Nous sommes accueillies avec desinvolture. 3 enormes arraignees dans la chambre juste au dessus du lit, deux dans la salle de bain. La femme du proprietaire nous dit qu elles partiront durant la nuit sans lumiere et que c est normal car rustique. Ma fille ne pouvant se resoudre a dormir dans la chambre, la proprietaire propose de joindre un autre hotel, pour eviter de dormir dans la voiture. Le proprietaire nous guide jusqu a l hotel le laguna mar ou nous passons la nuit. Le restaurant ne fonctionnant pas, le proprietaire trouve sur la plage au "locos cocos" nous recommande d acheter des pizzas, apres 15 mn d attente, il demande a un de ses employes de nous conduire jusqu a pizzeria.c est seulement 30mn après que le proprietaire nous guide de nuit jusqu a sa propriete. Tout ce temps, n a pas et e mis a profit pour nettoyer la chambre et nous accueillir dans des conditions dignes de salubrite. La proprietaire a dit qu elle s arrangerait avec expedia...Le remboursement integral de la somme, soit plus de 160 euros, est un minimum..a defaut ce serait du vol.
L hotel Laguna mar va aussi nous facturer, à juste titre le tarif 120 dollars.

I have waited to respond to this review to ensure that Expedia has properly issued you your refund. Madame, you paid EXPEDIA, NOT me. I NEVER charged you anything.
Let me start by saying the experience with you was equally as horrible for us. Never have we had such an ill-prepared, inexperienced traveling couple in 10+ years. I feel the most appropriate response to your review is to say that you are the perfect example of why sites such as Expedia and Booking.com, while wonderful for many, do a disservice to many travelers and especially small hotel owners.
You and your daughter clearly did not research the area you were traveling to nor did you take the time to read the any of lengthy and informative information I provided you via Expedia about our area, traveling to us and general policies that are in place to ensure safe and happy travels to us.
I even called you.
Your daughters reaction to our setting was so dramatic and violent, (remember she locked herself in your rental vehicle and was uncontrollably shaking and screaming) andwas so unsettling that we could not allow you access to the rancho where other guests were finishing up a lovely dinner under the stars.
This town has less than 200 residents, if someone is lost (which rarely happens /people read the information I send to them) any neighbor would personally show you the way. And, if you were wandering around for 2.45 hours, why didn’t you stop at LOCOSCOCOS, the ONLY place on the beach to eat and drink where my husband Henner, the owner was waiting for you as he does for all guests.
Greetings are always warm and our cabinas are checked daily. Yes, we do get the occasional spider/Geico/scorpion but they are rarely seen and never a nuisance.
How sad that someone left Cristal Azul with a bad experience; this is a place where friendships are made & memories created!

Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle
Publié le 31 juill. 2017 sur ExpediaCristal Azul is the perfect place to vacation if you are looking for a remote location away from the commercialized areas in Costa Rica. The setting is truly stunning. The accommodations are very comfortable. The staff and owners are great. The area gives you many unique opportunities to enjoy wildlife, the beauty of the forrested, waterfall filled mountains, and the serenity of having the beaches to yourself. Unique in the best sense of the word is the way we would describe Cristal Azul. The view of the ocean from the cabinas is stunning. We were blessed to be there for the week.

Great small hotel in the most peaceful location

Pour : The views, the pool.
Contre : Nothing really
Emplacement : It is quite isolated, but that's a plus. You can get all you need either on the spot or near by.
Cristal Azul is a small paradise in Playa San Miguel. Getting there is difficult the first time, but all worth it.
