Was not told what the WiFi user and password was until the next day, it was written on the chalkboard. Feel the info should have been sent to us. Could have been more cleaner, cobweb all over in bedroom some dishes were not clean. Other than the few things
I mention we had a relaxing and quiet time.

Hi Louanda, thank you for your stay. I am sorry you missed the wifi infomation provided to you on the chalkboad next to the TV. There was firewood provided for you along the fence. I never heard from you during your stay, if you had reach out to clarify you would have had both both issues addtessed as they were provided for you for your stay.

A Bit Disappointed
Publié le 22 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayAlthough the hostess was very friendly and addressed an issue that happened with the power, we decided to leave a day early. We were disappointed in the upkeep of the property. The pictures on the Vrbo site must have been taken when the property was first rented. We were looking forward to a few days of relaxation, however the pier was slanted, as well as the floors in the cottage and the kitchen sink. My partner had difficulty walking and maintaining balance on the uneven surfaces. The refrigerator had an odor. The cleanliness of the deck and grill was not satisfactory. THE BATHROOM WAS CLEAN! The cottage is very small with little room to place personal items. Decorations, although nice, took up a lot of the surface space making it difficult to relax in such crowded surroundings. This property could be very nice with some needed upkeep.

I appreciate your feedback, but need to clarify some statements in your review. First, the pictures of the cottage are from the spring, not the fall in which you stayed. It was rainy the week you stay and docks are being removed for the winter as well as leaves falling on the ground which is expected at this time of the year.
Second, this cottage is professionally cleaned and a box of baking soda is kept in the fridge. It is an older cottage that has a very minor slant in one corner in the kitchen which is typical for an old cottage. It has never been a concern for myself or the prior elderly owner who used a cane. This is a small cottage, so it meant and designed to create a warm, cozy feel. It is consistently rated a 5 star property. I am sorry you were disappointed.
