Avis Bright and lake view apartment x4

If a spectacular view of Lake Como is the most important thing for you, this is your place. The windows and balcony face the east arm of the lake and the sunrises were spectacular. We booked this through VRBO but it is managed by an Italian management company and the communication with them was spotty at best. They only provide access information a couple of hours prior to check-in which cause a bit of concern. Kitchen was poorly stocked and the toilet in the shower takes some getting used to. There was no frying pan for scrambled eggs or a hot water pot, but they finally delivered them 4 days into a 5 day stay. Don't expect the usual caring host treatment from these guys. The walk into town is easy, the walk back a bit tougher but good after a delicious Italian dinner. The bar/restaurant down the street is very charming and hospitable. We had a good time, but might stay closer in next time.

This property was misrepresented in terms of its condition. First, the air conditioning did not work properly. The toilet was located in the shower and leaked sewage into the shower when flushing. We couldn't utilize the second bedroom on the second floor as there was no A/C. The washer/dryer was not functional. The property manager did not resolve any of the issues we complained about.
