Avis Peaceful and Updated Cabin with Loft and Fireplace at Schuss Village - Sleeps 6

Mikael, We hope that prospective renters and guests look at the totality of our reviews vs. this misleading one and we wish to respond to our first sub 5 star out of 149 reviews of our cabin since we started in 2021. First, we always call the next day after you have checked-in to see how everything is going and if you have any questions. When I spoke to you, NONE of the above was mentioned. Had the stairs been that large of an issue for you and your group, we would have A) immediately refunded you 100% or B) immediately booked you rooms at the Lakeview Hotel or C) rebooked you for no charge at any of our other properties that we own or manage on the resort. NOWHERE in our listing do we claim the property is accessible, and I would suggest reviewing this section when booking your next stay through VRBO or other platforms especially being it is that big of an issue for you. At the time of booking, 2 days before check-in, and when we call you the day after check-in, we continuously say to please let us know the second you have any concerns yet, you did not. The A/C unit is a 24k BTU ductless unit that cools the entire home without the use of fans. Here again, if you were uncomfortable, you had my phone number to make mention of this yet failed to do so. We could have sent someone out to show you how to properly use the unit within 1 hour. We pay $550 each year for the pool pass through Shanty Creek Resort and only charge $500 if it is lost since we must then pay another $550 to replace it, so I am not sure what you find laughable about this. Certainly after 149 reviews between all platforms, we are not trying to “fool you” when we list the resort as an amenity, and we are baffled to why you feel this would even be considered for a review of OUR home. We do not control the design on the resort nor when they decide to update their amenities. Moving on to the “unstable decking”, you here again failed to tell us any of this during your stay when we could have sent someone out immediately to fix any issue. Upon your review, we contracted a decking company to inspect all the steps and deck and they found no issues. Finally, Cabin vs. condo. Seriously? You are the first guest out of 168 reservations to make an issue out of this terminology. It is a side-by-side condo and since the neighbor only visits 3 times per year, I am not sure why there is an issue with the shared driveway since it is 100% yours as I verified, he was not up during your stay. We have always listed this as a cabin since it is extremely secluded and quiet. Let’s review - “Cabin – Noun - a small shelter or house, made of wood and situated in a wild or remote area” which is exactly what our property is and completely 100% accurate.
