Staff was friendly, plenty of dining options. Clean facilities. Comfortable beds. Would be nice for non golfers to be able to rent a golf cart to explore the property

If you visit again, there really isn't anywhere that you can take a golf cart that a car doesn't also have access to and typically we do like to keep the carts on the course. This place is OLD AND probably hasn’t been updated from the 70’s. But it was clean and was a place to rest our heads.

Hello Diana, Shanty Creek is celebrating our 60th year in business this year and we do have some properties that have been in existence since that time. Our Lakeivew Hotel and Conference Center was remodeled in 2008 with the vision of creating an old world, European style ski lodge. And we have done more updates since then. In 2020 our entire front desk/dining area was remodeled as well. We are planning a future remodel that will be more extensive. Get what you pay for...I guess...
Publié le 24 mars 2023 sur HotelsUpon arrival, and AFTER check-in, we were informed that that the ski facilities and onsite restaurant would be closed during our stay. Despite efforts by Hotels.com to assist, we were unable to receive any refund...even after only staying one of the two nights.
Long story short, when booking with this resort, make sure that amenities (such as dining) and that facilities (such as skiing) will be available.

very easy to ski in , ski out. easy parking and renting. nice ski slopes. room was nice, not many dining options and no service at the Lodge, need to go to the bar to order food. overall very nice place, very convenient shuttle to go to Bellaire.

Hi Monica,I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I assume you are referring to our modified service at The River Bistro? Last year we were not able to provide in restaurant service due to covid restrictions and we had to make our plans for the 2022/23 season prior to knowing if the same restrictions would be in place. As the covid response continues to lessen, we are adapting and changing, hopefully we will make our way back to sit down table service dining in the future.
