This VRBO rental property is 3200 square feet and is the first level of a 5000 square foot multi-million-dollar home directly on the Sudden Valley golf course with the most beautiful views of Lake Whatcom and foothills, this property is currently the largest and most desirable home inside the Sudden Valley community.

This beautifully decorated rental property is completely private with absolutely NO shared spaces, with private entrance and parking. The rental space has very high,13-foot ceilings, two large bedrooms with walk in closets, two full bathrooms, fitness room, private movie theater with surround sound and reclining lounge chairs, SONOs sound system throughout the rental property, controlled by mounted IPAD or your smartphone.

This property offers the BEST view of Lake Whatcom and the Sudden Valley golf course from every room in the property.

This rental space has a kitchen area with everything a family needs to prepare meals, including a two burning electric stove top, instant pot, microwave oven, hot plate, George Forman indoor/outdoor grill, outdoor BBQ, two large toaster ovens, three coffee makers, slow cooker/electric pot and a toaster. There is one medium size refrigerator, one large mini refrigerator inside the exercise room and a mini freezer inside the storage space, along with a washer and dryer.

The rental property is located on Lake Whatcom offering 12 miles of clean, glacier fed water and is perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, jet skiing, sailing, boating and fishing. The rental property is also perfect for that winter ski getaway, with just a short drive to Mt. Baker.

The rental property also overlooks the first green of one of the most beautiful and scenic golf courses in the state of Washington, the Sudden Valley Golf Course. The front nine of Sudden Valley is relatively open and flat and borders the shores of Lake Whatcom. Fairway landing areas are relatively generous, and the greens are large.

However, the back nine follows a ridge uphill with narrow evergreen-fringed fairways and smaller greens that have more character. (Please See Video Link)

The Sudden Valley community offers activities for all ages, amenities included parks, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, pickle ball courts, fitness center, two pools, four beaches, two off leash dog park and miles of hiking and biking trails. The Community Center recreation area includes a state-of-the-art fitness center and outdoor Olympic size swimming pool with lifeguard for all ages and an adult pool with sauna for adults only.

perfect spot for a girls night in!
A group of us Moms (4 of us) booked this home for a girls night and we had the best time! It was such a nice place, beautiful view and had plenty of room for us. It was dumping rain so we didn't use the hot tub (one friend did jump in briefly in the morning), but having it was one of the reasons we chose this home. The media room was to die for, and we enjoyed cozying up for a movie night after talking for hours in the comfy living room. Great hostess, I will be keeping this in mind for any future getaways!

Everything someone could ask for!
I wish I could have stayed longer. A beautiful house and a beautiful setting, had everything we needed for our quick overnight. Easy check-in. Everything was super clean, the hot tub was ready to go, and the movie theater was super cozy. The host was very responsive when questions came up. Would definitely return for a longer stay next time.

Extremely nice place loaded with amenities! Views are gorgeous and the golf course and lake are amazing. We travel with our dogs and loved having the off leash area so close, not to mention all the hiking areas too. We loved our stay and will book again when we head back to Bellingham.

Great Family Reunion!
The rental property is located on the golf course with lake view and just a short walk to the lakes shore, swings, dog park and boat ramp. It dog heaven down there! Great roped area for swimming. The property is the lower part of a very large house. Separate entrance from the upper rental. Hot tub was great! Best for small family or small group that isn’t planning on cooking a lot, as the fridge, stove and cooktop are small. Theater room is cool! Guests can use the community pool but it does cost a small day fee. You must bring your own towel. The owner is very Friendly and communicative! We would love to return and stay longer.

Summer Stay
Beautiful and relaxing. Two words that describe completely this delightful home. Morning coffee on the patio overlooking a gorgeous golf course and serene lake. We also enjoyed the wonderful movie theater where we gathered as a family to watch the latest features. We could not have imagined a more perfect getaway. A sincere thank you to the friendly hosts for their hospitality and opening up their beautiful home for us to enjoy.

This property is very comfortable. We had an issue which the owners fixed promptly. Overall, an excellent experience. The media room was a hit with us. We would consider staying here again. minus 1 star for safety concerns. The walk around the house to the back of the house is a little steep. For someone over 60, this felt treacherous especially when carrying bags. A handrail would greatly improve this. There are also no rails for entering the showers and no anti slip mats in the showers. The 8 AM gardening session was not appreciated.

Please be aware of this property. Make sure to get claim insurance because this owner claims damage when the property was already damaged upon arrival. Hot tub is not covered Gym equipment doesn’t work only the elliptical Only a hot plate so don’t plan on cooking big meals for family. Dog barking upstairs and owner in and out blocking the driveway so you can’t load or unload your belongings. A very steep driveway to walk down to get to their basement. The owner claimed damage so beware and we did nit even use the treadmill other than turn it on because it wouldn’t work. I am sad that there is no honesty in rentals anymore. Even after leaving the property cleaner than when we arrived. I have used VRBO for years and this is the first time I have been disappointed in the ownership of this property. I hope I am heard so that you can tread lightly or not at all with false claims and dishonesty. Sincerely, Danielle

Spectacular!!!
This is everything you would want in a place to stay. Not only was it everything that was promised, but unexpected details were a great surprise. Like the retro sit and spin for the grand kids, along with numerous other great toys they could play with and help them feel at home. Can’t wait to return!!

Bellingham Visit
The property was awesome - right on the golf course, close to downtown Bellingham. The only real problem was lack of communication of where the key was located, no book or instructions on the internet/Wi-Fi connection, how to work the lights in the house (very state-of-the-art system), & what we must do on departure?? Typical guidance that is usually available. Even though The owner lived in the upper level of the house, we did not make contact. I could not get into my VRBO app because I forgot my password & could not get good Wi-Fi reception on my phone. So we made do, had a great visit w/my granddaughter who goes to WWU, & would love to stay at house again w/more communication, which could be my fault as much as anyone else!

Sudden Valley summer - golf course
I think it is important for the renters to know is that the renting portion of the house is actually a basement. The site shows and picture of the whole house and refers to 5000 sf, but the owner stays on the first level and the bottom partly in the ground portion of the house is being rented. there is no AC and I felt the house is overpriced and left a day early. The location is really nice.

Loved it!
I booked a last-minute getaway here for my family of 5 over Labor Day weekend. We had a lovely time. The is plenty to do for all ages - so much that we didn’t get to it all. The lake access is very convenient for taking paddleboards out and we were pleasantly surprised to discover several outstanding restaurants in the area. The theater and hot tub provided excellent entertainment when the weather wasn’t great and we wanted to stay in. We hope to come back again very soon!

Wonderful stay
Our family of 5 plus dog had a great experience at this beautiful home. The off leash dog park was fantastic! Everyday we would take a cooler, some chairs, a beach umbrella and set up shop right by the water and watch all the pups play. The kids loved it. The water was so nice and surprisingly warmer then we thought it would be. Nicole left the membership card for the recreation center in the drawer so we took full advantage of the pool also. Everyday we would enjoy the hot tub and watch the sun go down. At night the kids would hang out in the theater room while the adults enjoyed drinks on the patio next to the fire pit. There was enough room in the 2 small fridges and mini freezer for our family of 5 for 5 days. We just brought costco pre-made meals, stuff for sandwiches, burgers and dogs. I would suggest bringing some ice, a cooler is provided so we used that for our drinks. Nicole was a great host and was quick to respond with any questions or concerns. She left us easy directions on how to use everything and all the different places to go, eg: restaurants, hiking, golfing. All in all a great vacation!

STUNNING VIEWS and great location
The house was perfect for family of 5. The location is great by the lake with Mountain View, wilderness of nature. Lots of things to do and visit within 1.5 h drive the most. We will definitely come back. The host was very responsive and helpful!!
