Great stay at the lake
Publié le 15 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our stay at the lake! The ping pong table was a huge hit, and the views are beautiful. There were plenty of kitchen utensils and bakeware, and the smore supplies were a fun touch. Our bed was very comfortable, but I would have liked the option of curtains to block out light in the master. Having a full size washer/dryer is very helpful.

Door auto locks! Booo
NO decorations anywhere the customer would use.. counters tables and dressers.
I like to put my stuff on those surfaces.
Nothing was damaged except for a broken mirror behind the door. Pong paddles need replaced.
I chose this property for the hot tub and the fire pit only.
HOTTUB STANK OF LAKE WATER
HOT GROSS STAGNATION, it was foamy too.
So I went to the garage to find a pool kit and chemicals... None. No skimmer, no chemicals, no test kits..
I imagine a company comes to tend the tub. I was forced to buy chlorine to shock the tub. I cleaned the filter, the cover and the walls of the tub and waited over night.
It was a beautiful tub again, it felt amazing!! No stink either!! Its closer to night time now and I've been in and out a couple times so the concrete is wet all around the tub. While my bare feet are on the wet concrete I put my hand in the water and Im electrocuted!!!! Woah! Its not super painful but its really uncomfortable!! I learned that as long as I'm not touching the ground and water I'm safe.
No laundry basket

Had to buy disinfectant spray for cleaning in between cooking.
Wheres the broom? Theres a dustpan!
Remove knives from disorganized draws. Get a knife set in a block
Low pressuse showers should have handheld sprayers
Laundry left in dryer, folding table!
Fire Equipment Needed!! Poker, shovel ect.
Fire warmth heads to the lake at night making firepit useless.

Our door locks have the auto lock feature to protect the home, not hinder your stay. I am unsure of what our decorations have to do with the home itself, but I am sorry they were not to your liking:(
The hottub was cleaned professionally 2 days prior to your stay. We would have loved to have known about the issue during your stay. It is not customary to provide chemicals for pools/hottubs for guests, as we do not know your knowledge in using them and could be harmful if used improperly. The hottubs skimmer basket is located in the left corner of the hottub.
As for the electrocution claim, we took this seriously and sent our electrician. In his expert opinion as the one that put the hottub connection in, there was no way there was "electrocution" as the hottub is on a GFCI Hot Tub disconnect. Most likely static electricity.
As for your preferences on knives, laundry baskets, water pressure, and seasonings, we are sorry it didnt meet your expectations. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you:)

Fun, Restful Family Getaway!
Publié le 1 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property was super cute and well-decorated! The lake views were AMAZING off the back deck, and we really enjoyed the hot tub too! There is a little path to hike down to the lake, and we were able to use the two kayaks and paddle around the cove/inlet that the property accesses. It was great! We gifted my mother-in-law with this trip, and even though she didn't hike down, she loved the ability to watch us kayak from the deck! We also enjoyed the full-size ping pong table in one of the living areas.
A couple things about the posting that weren't accurate, but were a nice surprise. It said only one bedroom had a king bed and another had a queen bed, but they actually both had king beds. Also, it said the master bathroom only had a tub and no shower, but it actually was the other way around. It only had a shower and no tub (which worked fine for us, but if you have small children and are expecting a bath, you should make a note of this).
We would stay again! Very relaxing and in a quiet neighborhood.

A Lemon of VRBOs
Publié le 17 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis house appeared amazing online, but around every corner was a let down. There were small things such as all but one Adirondack chair being broken. But the greatest disappointment was having no access to the lake despite the listing promising lake access. There were many areas of the house that looked like they had not been cleaned in months, and the bed sheets even had a stain. This house needs a lot of attention before being listed as an adequate rental home. The property manager was responsive over text, but there was not much she could do.

Publié le 22 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe rented the home from VRBO for Sat & Sun; I think you need to be aware of some major issues in the house. We were extremely disappointed, but elected to stay because we had bow fishing plans on the lake.
The house is under construction. The dining room is missing flooring & is covered w/ 4 rugs. There was a large industrial fan on in the home when we arrived blowing on that area. I assume the rugs must've been wet at sometime. The home does have an odor resembled an old trailer house.
One of the reasons we rented the house was the picture showed lake access. We were hoping we could be picked up by our fishing guide on the little beach shown in the pictures. The access is completely cut off w/ broken stairs & brush. The pics of this home must be from years ago when it was purchased by the owners. According to the property manager a storm recently caused it.
When the toilet in the hall bath is flushed, it bubbles up into the master toilet.
When you turn on the garbage disposal, the other lights in the home blink & turn off. Perhaps this has to do with the mess of electric wires coming out of the box under the eave of the house.
All of the outdoor rugs were rolled up and a mess; tripping hazard.
The porch ceiling is falling down on the upper porch. The finishing under the eave is also falling down.
To finish it all off, a crew of contractors installing gutters came knocking @ the door at 8 am on Monday asking for access to the home. Check out is 11.

Nice home with a great view
Publié le 19 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayOverall nice home, although it is older and shows signs of age like cracked ceiling, worn out kitchen appliances, bulbs out, toilets that bubble up when you flush them. Decor is great and the view is outstanding.

Thanksgiving Get Away
Publié le 18 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house was nice. The view was fantastic. Just beware, they are serious when they say take the path to the water at your own risk. It is very steep in places and there is a lot of dirt so it is slippery when it's been raining. Once we got down there successfully we had a blast exploring the shoreline and got lots of awesome pictures.
