Great House and Great Location

Friends reunion.
Publié le 14 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was the perfect resort for our friends reunion. We enjoyed visiting Jamestown with Lucy and Desi Museum and Comedy center. And we had a perfect fall day to visit Chautauqua Institution, Peak N peak and Findlay Lake. It was a great location for nearby restaurants and s walk around Bemus Point. The hosts thought of many niceties which made our stay so special.

Excellent location
Publié le 18 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayBeautiful five bedroom with large fully stocked kitchen. House sits in the middle of main street with large front porch. There was a fall festival going on and we where able to just walk out our door and enjoy. Also very walkable to all shops and restaurants.

Terrible communication
Publié le 9 sept. 2024 sur HomeAway I booked this house for Sept 6-9 2024 but couldn’t find the confirmation on Vrbo. I reached out directly to the owners about a month ago and left a voicemail asking for confirmation about the reservation. I received one phone call with no voicemail and tried calling back 10 times. Every time I received an automated message that there was no mailbox set up. I never received confirmation and we had to book another house.
Right before our trip I received an automated confirmation from VRBO welcoming us to our trip but it STILL wasn’t in “my trips” on the app and there was no confirmation from the owners. I have no idea what happened but this was a complete fail.

Dear Lisa, I’m not sure why your account wasn’t visible to you—you will have to explore that issue with VRBO directly. Why didn’t you? Also, if you didn’t have access to your reservation, you would not have access to my phone number. So, what phone number were you calling? My written communications to you are quite visible on the VRBO site. You would have received my lengthy check-in details via your VRBO account and also by email. The email and phone number that you provided are the only means for me to contact you, which I did as I ‘always’ do with every one of our over 100 guest groups who visit us. Secondly, you did not call me or text me or email me or else I would have contacted you right back immediately as I consistently have done with any guests who have stayed with us. My mailbox is set up and has always been set up; that’s how I am able to return calls when a guest leaves me a message.
I’m saddened to see a 1 star review given your error. The over 100 5-star reviews that we have received are because of our hard work and dedication to making our guests feel welcome and at home when they arrive. All of our guests. Why would we have singled you out? It just doesn’t make sense. Take good care and I truly hope this never happens to you again. Sincerely ~ Debra
