House was very nice…. We got there on a Tues… many things closed. Open Thurs-Monday. Host was very helpful!!!!!

Clean and convienient
Publié le 1 août 2024 sur HomeAwayHouse was clean and well appointed. Very comfortable, and local to the main downtown areas for walking. Due to age of the house, the bath and bedroom arrangement was a little different - had to walk through the bathroom to get to one of the bedrooms. Backyard with firepit was super nice for hanging out.

Bemus Blue House was a great spot

Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property was not refurbished as promised. Kitchen was very old, no dishwasher, old sink, limited counter use due to ants. Only one full bath, shower was so old it was permanently gray. Beds were very soft I think because they were old. Automatic locking device on door which we had never encountered before, and so we got locked out. Humiliating to be treated this way. Very steep steps going upstairs. Not for elders or people with knee issues. Probably ok if you have a lot of kids. Best thing was location in the center of town

This is the only guest that we have ever encountered that was extremely inconsiderate, did not adhere to house rules, and was rude.
1. Showed up at 1:45pm when check in was at 4:00pm. I told her days prior that it was a tight schedule due to previous renters leaving at 11am, and that if it was doable, I would let her in early. She showed up hours early regardless. Interrupted our cleaning service, berated the girls, yelled at them when they wouldn't allow her entry to use the bathroom or put their luggage in the house and complained about the trash (which was in the process of being cleaned up). Because I was notified of her behavior, I did not grant her early access when they were eventually finished cleaning. 2. At check out which is 11am, when her code expired, she messaged and called me several times that she could not get into the home again hours later at 12:45 to retrieve her belongings. Once again, inconveniencing not only our cleaning staff but the next renters. Their consideration for house rules is non existent.

Second stay at the Blue House
Publié le 11 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe love Lake Chautauqua and this property is PERFECT for the way we like to play in the area. Bemus Point is amazing. The location of this house in town is so convenient. The property is clean, well cared for and very very comfortable. We visited as adults with friends for a landmark birthday trip last year and brought our teen children and a couple of friends this year to visit the same spot. It's a win for us! - While you ae there, rent a boat from Bemus Bay Water Toys too great service!

Blue lake house

Owner responded quickly to my questions. A very short walk to restaurants and shops. Loved our dinner at Splash.

Older, but nice house for a family
