Twin Wickiup, Crane Praire, Cultus, Lava, Paulina and East Lake) to mention a few. Your are only 20 minutes to Bachelor Ski Resort and even closer to prime CC Skiing and Snowmobile areas with snow parks within minutes. If Horseback Riding, Mt Biking or Hiking are your fancy we not only have room for your trailer, boat or RV, but you are close to many trail heads that lead into the wilderness. Nice Home
Despite a glitch at check-in that was resolved fairly quickly everything went fine for the weekend. My only suggestion is adding a grab bar for safely getting in and out of the tub/shower combo, especially if guests are a little older as we were.

Comfortable house to rent
The rental was better than I was expecting since the photos made the main rooms look dark but the place was bright and comfortable. Under the location detail email an incorrect address was listed as 1904 Twin Dr which threw us off a bit until we figured out the correct address. Overall a great rental house.

More complicated than it needed to be
I was not provided with the check in code at the agreed upon time. I had to call the owner 10 times to get code 3 hours after indicated check in time I got a response. I checked in elderly family members into cabin. I did not stay on property the entire time. There was confusion with my family regarding check out but as soon as they were notified they were out in 30 minutes and left property very clean. Overall I will stick to Other home rental sites from now on as my experience has been much better there.

Quiet location, just as described
We enjoyed our stay and would go back anytime. Others have mentioned minor issues such having to pay extra for WiFi, and by the end of the night the couch cushions do slide forward (but are easy to adjust). It's not centrally heated (so you need to figure out the individual heater settings), and the last couple of blocks the road in is unpaved & bumpy. So yes, the house is not perfect - but you're not paying for that either! And Scott (the owner) was very responsive and easy to work with. It is very quiet (at least in winter), has a big garage, furnished with what we needed/expected, and it was close to everything we wanted to get to. So, perfect for us, and we'd definitely be back.

Even though it states that they have Internet, they have not turned it on to allow you to use it. The router is in the kitchen but apparently they haven’t paid their bill so you have no Internet access. Even though the ad says they do. Also the satellite TV does not work. There’s absolutely no entertainment in this house. Also AT&T cell phones do not work nor their data plans inside the house. The house is also located way outside of the town. Running to the store takes time. Although I contacted the owner and complained his only regard was that he was going to get a lawyer because he didn’t authorize those Amenities to be on his ad. Funny I just don’t think that’s how it works because you should be able to go on and change that at any time. And it’s not like he didn’t have a satellite TV or Internet connection. They were both there at the house but their bills weren’t paid so they weren’t turned on. No consideration for the troubles that we were having from the owner. Only that he was upset that someone had done this to him. Funny because it only affected me and my family but he still got full payment. Poor him. I would not recommend this house find another one

Pleasantly pleased.
Love the wildlife and the two rabbits. Had a wonderful barbeque. Unfortunately we timed our trip during the fires. Lots of smoke. Maybe next year will be better.

The house was dirty on the inside. There were dishes left in the dishwasher, laundry in the dryer and no notes on where extra blankets and towels were located. The couch is old and the cushions slide off when you are sitting on it. It folds out into a bed and there is stuff lying on the ground under the couch that you can see when you take the bed out. There are wood chairs on the deck that my daughter almost fell off because the whole arm is not attached so when she leaned back it almost broke completely. The dining room table was sticky, there was hair all over the bathroom floor and the place smells. Overall poor rating. We have rented multiple houses and have never been dissatisfied. If I am paying an extra cleaning fee, I want the place clean. Not to mention, there is no wifi. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

This property was perfect for our mini vacation. Scott was prompt to answer questions and provide information about the lakes around and near by. Our family had fun visiting the lakes and fishing. We loved how quiet it was, being that we are from the city, it was amazing to not hear cars running or people. It was cozy, we didn't watch any tv since there was so much to do and visit around. The only issue I had was the master bedroom, and it's not the Scott's fault. I have previous back injuries, the bed was a queen and it was to firm for me, I had to sleep on the floor and brought my own comforters to help, for two adults the bed is too small, I didn't sleep the first night. But like I said not his fault. I do suggest maybe upgrading to King size for the master bedroom with the option of guest (with back injuries) being able to add a foam mattress. Also adding a small folder with all the amazing things your city has to offer. Overall it was great. We enjoyed our stay. They had everything we need for cooking, and grilling. I would give it a five stars but sleep during a vacation is important. We will visit again!!! I'll bring my inflatable bed next time :) thanks Scott for sharing your lovely cabin!!!

Great house, but no internet and no owner support
One of the best houses we have rented. Spacious, clean, well priced, nice yard, garage, big washer and dryer, well stocked, etc. Only problem was that there was no internet access despite what is advertised, and no response from the owner all week to address this problem. Mobile signal (AT&T) was poor, and because the house is remote, we had to travel to town for internet access. Very frustrating and disruptive, when internet access was expected.

Had a good stay
The House was comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. Location was very close to LaPine State Park, which was a very nice area. Sun River was a short drive up highway 97. We were about 50 minutes from Hosmer Lake on the Cascade Lakes Highway where we did some paddling. Beautiful lake. Scott’s communication was excellent which was much appreciated.

Generally, this home is in need of maintenance.
We've used many VRBO's over the years, and this is the first time I have ever filed a negative review. I strongly urge the owner of this property to take some actions on the problems with this property. We will not be renting it again. On the positive side: - Great location: next to La Pine State Park, and only 15 minutes to a well stocked grocery store. - Spacious home: Three bedrooms, 2 baths, fully stocked kitchen, and comfortable living room. On the negative side: - The BBQ grill was filthy. The grill brush that was with the grill was unusable. I had to buy a new grill brush from Ace Hardware in La Pine. - When I complained to the owner about the filthy grill, he did not reply. - Several window spring balances were broken in the living room and dining room requiring a lot of muscle power to open and close the windows. - An insect screen was missing from one of the master bedroom windows and there was no sliding screen door, (with the sliding glass door) leading to the deck from the dining room. - The carpeting throughout the home needs to be cleaned as there were numerous stains. - The garage door opener is disconnected from the garage door. - A side door leading into the garage from the outside does not latch. - The backyard is not maintained. Weeds are growing about 4' - 5' tall. - The deck appears to have never been finished, and has grey - colored wood.

Clean and quiet
We enjoyed our stay, as usual, nice quiet neighborhood and clean place. The four of us fish in pontoon boats and the double garage is a real plus. Dog next door but not a noisy pup, only barked a little before dark.

Great location
My intent for this trip was to have a relaxing weekend and do some astrophotography. While the area is very dark, the clouds made that part of the trip impossible. We were able to take a walk in a snowstorm down to the Deschutes river that is about a mile from the house. Beautiful scenery and worth doing again in the summer. We have grown accustomed to central heat/air controlled by a smart thermostat at home. Our first morning wake up was a bit chilly because we forgot to turn the baseboard heaters up before going to bed! Other than that, this was a very pleasant stay.
